Awesome.. a makeup thread... I love makeup, it makes me feel so female
I don't get to wear make upon a daily basis yet

... but I do every chance I get. But I've been fortunate
to be married to a "makeup girl" who would rather be dead than caught without makeup. She spends a fortune
on makeup and I encourage her every chance I get

Even in my darkest denial days I "borrowed" things when she was away just to "try them out"
lol.... don't ask me how I can be in denial and look forward to putting on makeup... it makes
no sense to me either. Anyway I've tried a lot of products and here is what I like to use.
My wife uses mineral foundation because she has perfect skin but for
me that's not an option. I use Mac "Full coverage" or "Studio Tech" for foundation. I've always
been told (and read) that you should spend your money on foundation (if
your old enough to need it or have bad skin). I use NYC translucent powder to
set the foundation. Mac also has a good powder call Studio Fix to go along with Studio Tech.
Both Full Coverage and Studio Tech work well... I think Studio Tech was desiged to show
well in photographs. You can buy Mac online at
maccosmetics.com if you feel uncomfortable
going to the counter. But I've gone to the Mac counter at Dillards and Macy's and it's not a big deal,
the girls are very helpful.
I have not started facial har removal yet and use a Mac "paint stick" in orange
(called Dusty Coral)that counteracts the black beard.
For eye shadow I've found that the drugstore brands work about as well as something like Mac and a
lot cheaper. I like Maybelline and WetNWild eyeshadows but there are some Mac colors I love. All
fairly understated... I don't like to standout.
I like Revlon eyeliner pencils. I've tried the Loreal HIP cream eyeliner and it's nice but harder to apply.
I love Loreal lipstick.
I love all the Loreal HIP products... Cream Eyeliner, Voluminous Mascara, Eyeshadows, Bronzer,
Colour Rich Lipstick and foundations. If I had to choose I'd pick Mac for the foundation though.
In Maybelline I like the moisture extreme lipsticks. Lash Stylist mascara, Great Lash
Maybellline's Define A Lash. In fact I think Maybelline has the best mascara and it's cheap.
Great Lash is awesome.
I use Jane's one touch concealer and I like their mineral eyeshadow.
Also in a drungstore brand I like MAX Factor pan stik foundation and Max Factor lip liners.
Revlon: Colorstay eyeliner, Colorstay Foundation, Colorstay Pressed Powder, Super Lustrous Lipgloss
Physicians Formula: undereye circle concealer
I like the WetNWild nail polishes and lipliner/lipgloss
NYC loose and pressed powder (good stuff) and NYC nail polishs
Almay Moisturizing makeup remover pads work like magic.
If I could only buy drugstore brands I'd use anything by Maybelline, Lorel and Revlon and add NYC powder.
I'm so glad you started this thread Natasha... it's so much fun!
