Due to my Job - which really I cannot even say what it is, especially on this forum - I really cannot say too much about myself. So, a lot of the information about myself on these boards may be a little bit - twisted - to protect myself.  I will NEVER lie, but I may leave things out that are not so important. I have a lot more at stake than just "loosing my job." Maybe in a few years when I am in a different career field, things will be different.

Anyway, with that said, HELLO!  :) I am Chelsea, and I am 20 years old. I live in some small town on the west coast somewhere.. I have pondered an idea for many years and have recently come to terms with the idea as being a reality. I was born a male, but maybe I was destined for something else..

Anyway, this is actually the first time I have ever told anyone anything like this.. baby steps I guess - and even if you guys do not know anything about me past this post - it feels so liberating to tell someone.

Thanks!
-Chelsea

Welcome, Chelsea. Don't be scared. We don't bite. (well, I do occasionally).
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

Keeping things private on the net is not a bad idea unless you are more than fully out to everyone.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Hi Chelsea,

Quoteit feels so liberating to tell someone.

It's even more liberating to be yourself...your female self... maybe for the first time in your life. :)

I know it was for me :) Good luck... your baby steps may turn into a run soon :)

Ummm...

Now where have I heard this story before....

Oh yeah! That was me about a year ago but somewhat different but just the same. Right now I'm going to therapy and noone knows except for the people here and friends on myspace.

By the way welcome again to Susan's

Thanks guys!

It feels really nice to get some supportive responses and feedback from you all. I admit, even on the net, I was really nervous to say it to someone and finally get it off my chest. I am so happy right now lol. And Amanda, haha you almost brought me to tears with that (good ones, of course!).

Thanks again guys and I am happy to be here!

There may be a lot more of those good ones... another liberating thing :)

Hi, Chelsea;

I'm an Air Force Civilian and retired Army.  I was worried about losing my job, but essentially I'm still here with not much changed.  Some have pulled away, some have grown closer, and I still have the necessary permissions to do my job.

I hope this in some way puts your mind to rest.
