I confess

Hi, Jaimey,
I have been deadly scared of storms from all the way back when the area where we lived in was hit by the tail end of Hurricane Hazel in 1954.  I was 9 years old.

I sort of have this connection with the elements. I can influence the weather is some ways I don't even understand myself. When Wing Walker and I were still living in Midland, Ontario I could sense this storm coming some time before it actually hit, but I was in no way prepared to experience what was about to happen.

I was standing in front of the front room window watching the clouds when I felt this jolt go through me.  At the same time I threw my arms in front of me. I heard the resounding boom of thunder and I backed up a few paces.  At the same time I felt everything in the house shake.

I thought I had been hit but I didn't feel any pain. I opened my eyes and lowered my arms and saw that everything around me was still intact. Wing Walker told me it hit close enough so we could smell the ozone in the air. We sat on the couch just holding each other in the dark for at least a couple of hours. "Hee, hee, hee." needlees to say my poor beloved Wing Walker got to see lots of weird stuff that happens around me.

QuoteHi Amanda hon I was very scared and nervous and it is certainly not a walk in the park. But coming out the other end as the you you have always dreamed of to be  will make the pain and inconvenience that you will experience for a time all so worth it. I love me, I love who I am, I am a woman. All that stuff from your past life finally gone.

I confess that it helps a lot to keep that in mind :)

I confess, I love storms and would like to go tornado chasing.
Not that I have not seen more than my share of tornadoes, I just find weather and nature fascinating.

I confess I've done it and it was exilirating and I've seen one close up... too close :)

I also confess it's part of the TS "death wish" I seem to have.

No death wish in chasing tornadoes as they almost never change direction once they form.  Its a straight line deal.  Riding a Cat5 Hurricane out, that's more a death wish.

If you get so close that it nearly overturns your car... and flying debris breaks your windows... that's a death wish :)
...I confess.

Never a problem for us, we chased them on our motorcycles.  And I lived right in the heart of "Tornado Alley" in Central Iowa.  So we would get a few good ones every year.

I never chased them, but I have been that close.
I have probably witnessed a dozen of them. I once saw 3 at one time (with 2 on the ground), I had no idea at the time it was anything special though.

I agree with Tekla, I don't think of it as part of a death wish. It may be playing the odds, but they are still well in your favor.
A motorcycle seems like a darn good way to do it.

Hi Chris, must have been nice. I can just picture the two of you sitting in candle light at the table eating a marvelous meal that you prepared with your own hands. It gets better as time moves on you both will be more as one, able to actually read each others minds. Love does funny things to you.

Bikes can make it around debris better than a car can.  And we were able from time to time to be there right after it went through and could be of some help.  And like I said, they don't change direction.  It was a good time, and good times are hard to come by in Iowa.

I do confess I want to do the Cat5 ride before I die.  I have a friend who went through one on the Keys and tells me its a wild ride.

Though I may have half-laughed when you made the joke..

I really wanted to be able to tell you that the underwear you sold me at the mall yesterday really was mine..

I confess that as much as I hate Jesus email, I still forward them to the people who still think I believe all that crap...*sigh*

If curiosity really killed the cat, I'd already be dead.

I confess that might be fun... I'd like to be a reporter covering one... with video... so I could watch it later :)

I confess that I'd like to try the big surf in Hawaii that would be even more fun... and the biggest thing
I've surfed is about 3 feet... lol... is that a death wish?

I confess I am not sure if I can trust him anymore.

I confess I do not know if I love him.

I confess I feel abandoned by him.

I confess I am mad at him, but I have not got the courage to tell him.

I confess I feel bad about being mad at him, because it might just be the medicine making him like this.

I confess I want him to need me still, like I need him.
