I am no expert in this area, but as I understand the procedure, the erectile device is not mandatory. From what I have read, it is more of an optional upgrade that you can choose to have or decline.
The surgeon is not going to do more work than is necessary to make you satisfied with the result. When you first meet, they will explain the procedure to you and allow you to ask questions. That way you understand what to expect and the surgeon knows exactly what you want.
