Emma,

Do you start back at school soon?

Chrissy
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Chrissy after weeks of processing, I finally got my acceptance letter over the weekend.  I am a substitute teacher so it's up to the principal to call me.

I can't wait.

A friend just shared with me that Sade just released a song in support of her transgender son.  It's beautiful.  It is part of a transgender album being released Nov. 22.

I met with Vanessa today.  It seems to be a monthly experience.  I was sad/depressed.  Just typical transgender frustration but Vanessa had my back and got me to smile.

I share this photo here because there is no place else where I can share who I truly am and it will be understood by friends.

It didn't help my paranoia that I kept passing women who were obviously giving me the once over.  Was I being checked out as a woman or was I being clocked?

Being transgender can make you crazy at times!

Looking good, Emma!

Thanks for sharing! Love that smile.  :)

Lori and Davina, maybe someday my "clocking" fears will diminish.  It would be great if it was jealousy!

Just got my annual notice for my mammography. I have been very diligent since Danielle alerted me to the need to do it regularly.

We all need to do it if we take hormones.

I was getting them every year when I started hormones. This year, my Primary said the guidelines have changed to every two years if you have low risk and previous images have been clear. So I don't get squished this year.  :(

Emma, You look great in the photo. I thought you were posting a pic of your friend till I read the story. You look totally female. In time you will get used to the other woman checking you out and respond with a smile. It's just what they/we do!

Yeah, your smile isn't as... natural as it normally is, Emma. I can tell you were kind of posing for the camera. *hugs* I am so sorry you were feeling that way.

Why does it matter? Women seem to have this predatory habit of eyeing up other women. In a way men never do. I don't really know if it's an evolutionary "You're a threat to my mating prospects" kind of thing, or something else. But I have noticed this and it weirds me out. I don't think you were being clocked as much as you were being evaluated as some kind of threat and whether the DEFCON rating should be changed. :P

Just for a little while, try not being transgender, and just be Emma. :)

Gina, thank you for the compliment.  That means a lot!

Sephira, it's true, I felt a lot of stress that day and it came out in the picture.  I had too much on my mind to relax.

Like everyone else, I am so tired of this election.  I am actually looking forward to the drug commercials coming back in place of these insulting political ones.

Over the last few weeks, the Trump campaign has spent millions of dollars on anti-transgender ads to attack Kamala Harris during college and pro football games. I guess that they are relying on awakening the transgender ignorance of football fans to generate more votes for Trump.

He's wasting money.  He already has the ignorant in the stadium voting for him.

I take these bigoted political ads personally this time. They are attacking the fundamental rights of every transgender person to medical care.

Let the beer companies advertise at football games, not the politicians.

Don't get me wrong, I love football.

I just hate being kicked around as if I was the football.

There's a great line Frances McDormand has at the end of the Fargo movie, if you've ever seen it.

'Why can't people just be nice to each other?'

I just love it.

I agree 100%. I don't watch TV anymore. Gave it up almost 20 years ago and don't miss the commercials one bit.

Personally, I think we should make the candidates accountable for what they broadcast. If it is untrue, they should be removed from every ballot.

Let's give the Fact Checkers a noble cause and plenty of work to do. And this rule should also apply to debates.

Lie to the public and you are gone!

Dont take this the wrong way folks but it looks like a lot of Americans think Hollywood shows real documentary's not fiction so when the politicians spout fiction they think its true.

I think you folks across the pond are a lot more... vicious when it comes to politics. It's more about the player than the game, so to speak. Our last election adopted more of that mentality and it felt really... grimy. Doesn't matter what you want to do with the country as long as you can get people to hate the other person more than you.

I kind of think this election will come down to what level of mass amnesia, or delusion, your country has. The dude already had one go at it and... yeah... There's a reason he didn't get a second term. Well, actually a lot of reasons. I still find it utterly astounding he's even in the race. Only in America, lol.

Keeping my fingers crossed that common sense will prevail. :)

The mistake that so many make is that they believe America is a lousy empire builder. We really don't want the job. After WW2 we were forced to be the world cop.  We were naive. Every time we stumble we are assailed by more "sophisticated" nations who tragically fumbled the job worse than us.

Every American presidential election is based on domestic issues.  Why? Because we really don't care outside our borders. Why? Because too many Americans died outside our borders and many ask simply "why?".

Trump plays that card well.

When I look at the chaos in governments around the world, I ask the question: "are we the least ugly sister in a shotgun wedding?"

Through VietNam and after a time as a lawyer in the World Court in The Hague, I am tired of being the scape goat for all that world has blamed us for.

Sephira this is absolutely not aimed at you but I am tired of our politics and the rest of the world throwing stones from their fragile glass houses.

We are absolutely not perfect but neither is anyone else. God knows, being transgender, none of us has a safe place to go. I wish I could meet you all there.

This election has made me so bitter and I hate it.
