Much food seems to keep long after expiration or use buy dates.  Still it is best to use up older items or donate them before such dates if at all possible.  Rotate cans in the pantry, as new canned items can have a tendency to be put up front, so the older stuff in the back can become unused and older.  The same issue can apply at grocery stores by those rushed to get their unboxing and shelving "done."

I think the that back loading shelves is the way to go but usually many shelves are not designed that way.  The dairy coolers are loaded from the back.

My sweetie and I had Chinese food about four hours ago but I am already hungry again.  Very odd, not her of course but that I am hungry again.

Change of plan, bought 1/2 lamb shoulder at a reduced price with todays use by date so that went in the oven over potatoes and carrots with some garlic cloves and dried rosemary and thyme in olive oil . Had to cook the fish but will have some lamb tonight and I can make a jalfrezi with the cold cooked .
