Do you "count" your daily calories?

From time to time I have but I learned to moderate my food intake and eat less following a big meal and when I am not particularly hungry.  So if I had a rich dessert or other food, I will eat less during upcoming meals.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

It is not about calories or fat. There is a lot of misinformation out there.

It is about portion control, not eating more than you need, and avoiding empty calories.

The FDA website has a graphic that shows what portion size you should eat. For example, meat/protein should be about the size of a deck of cards.

Empty calories are things like alcohol which have a lot of calories but almost zero nutritional value.

Things like potato chips and other snacks that are high in fat content, and low in vitamins, minerals, and fiber that you need for nutrition. Stay away from artificial sweeteners, like NutraSweet, stevia, etc. Refined sugar is bad enough for us, but these artificial sweeteners are ten times worse.

Everything in moderation and balance.

There is nothing wrong with a burger, fries, and a non-diet soda once in a while, but not every day. And not a half-pound burger either. Portion control.  ;D

I do not measure ounces or buy portion control sizes or meals.

I just kinda wing it.

Especially if it involves KFC Original recipe chicken wings.

I don't pay much attention to sizes either, but that is just from years of doing it. I know how much is enough and what is too much.

When it comes to cookies, if the package is not resealable then it is ONE SERVING.

The bag has too many vanilla wafers, and it is not resealable.  So I take out about 12 and put the "big clamping hair clip" on the bag.

Well then I sometimes add some vanilla pudding to go along with the wafers!
