Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I like all kinds of movies and have a vast collection (over 600 titles).

I prefer science fiction, but the story must be believable. Some are just outrageous garbage. I am a Trekkie, so I have all of the Star Trek movies, old and new. Not a fan of "Next Generation" stuff though.

I enjoy movies that depict historical events, things that really happened, or retell a famous tale, like: Apollo 13, Dracula: Untold, Everest, The Bank Job, Gold: Prove Them All Wrong, and Tombstone.

I like bank/casino heist movies like Ocean's Eleven +, The Bank Job, and Inside Man.

I am not a big fan of animated movies, but I do have some classics like Ice Age (I love Scrat!), Madagascar, and the Despicable Me/Minions movies.

I enjoy a good horror movie, but they are so lacking lately. I find very few of them to be "scary". The ones I prefer are the ones that mess with your mind, like Shutter Island, 1408, and many from M. Night Shayalaman. (I miss Wes Craven for good horror flicks).

I enjoy the Marvel/DC comics superhero movies and I am working on building that collection. I prefer Iron Man and Hulk over Spiderman or Superman. I am still working on the X-Men collection. I love the Batman movies because they retell the stories from different points of view. My favorite is The Dark Knight, but not because of Batman, but of Heath Ledger's iconic Joker. No one did it better.

I enjoy comedies by Melissa McCarthy, Jim Carey, and others. If you want to see Jim Carey in a serious role in a horror movie, watch The Number 23. I kept expecting him to do something silly, but he played the role extremely well and it's another mindf**k movie, so of course I like it.  ;D

Horror. I am a bit of a goth girl at heart. Horror is my genre. But not like... nasty Eli Roth "horror for the sake of horror" movies. I like the more psychological stuff. Like "Ring" or "The Babadook" Things that get in your head. I don't like jump scares for the sake of making popcorn fly. I think that's super cheesy. I like the deep "in your mind" movies that make you question a lot of stuff.

Event Horizon is my all time favourite horror movie.

I do like other kinds of movies, and I'm generally up for anything. But a good horror has me every time. :)

I saw a movie recently called "I Saw The TV Glow", which is kind of a horror, a very weird horror. But it has massive trans and non conforming themes. I would recommend folks here to watch it.

Event Horizon is a good one. On the mess with your mind list, my favorites are (in no order):

The Number 23

Shutter Island

1408

Memento

Split

Identity

The Last Days on Mars (along the lines of Event Horizon).

My girlfriend doesn't either. Whenever I suggest we watch them together she's always like "I need to vacuum, you have fun!"

Lori, I love Memento. That's another of my favourite movies. Guy Pierce is amazing. I will watch the other ones. One I suggest to you, though, is "Session 9". It will mess with your head. <3

That reminds me of Case 39 with Renee Zellweiger. I would kill to have her voice. Case 39 is another mind messer-upper.  ;D
