When I was an instructor for the electrician's apprenticeship program, the apprentices did not believe in "magic smoke". So I gave them a demonstration. I had them build a simple circuit, then compute the maximum current the resistor could handle. Then had them guess what would happen with various-sized batteries as a power supply. After they let the smoke out, I had them test the resistor to verify that it would no longer work. Of course, it was just a crispy chunk of carbon, but they learned from the experience.

In one respect it's easier if it did not work, add more bypass etc, but this is power good issue. All LDO's with a power good output that I have ever worked with have a protection diode to vin so the pull-up is connected there,

The device chosen seems to have the protection diode to vout so the PG signal cannot be higher than the output. In this case, the regulator produces 1.2V but a PG of 1.2V is not enough to enable the next stage, in fact it's worse than that, I have it connected as usual to Vin and then the diode conducts so the PG is only 1V instead of 3.3V. The spec does not say this, just that it's the usual open drain output. I have inferred all this by observation. it's useless.

Attempting to bypass the PG is a mare as apart for 0.5mm of track it's all on inside layers. We do not have a trained wireman, so I am attempting to do it myself, and it's way above my confident skill set. After I have proved the solution I can send the board back to the manufacturer that do have such wireman.

I have to do everything. Design, layout and repair/rework. I have one software test engineer that is a bit handy with a soldering iron but he said he would not touch the board with a bargepole lol. And management is panicking and losing confidence in me, not alowing me to change the device for the next iteration without proof of working. If I had to do this for every part of the design it would taken years to build the design bit by bit, and cost astronomical. The boards cost about £10k to build as prototypes.

Going back to the initial question, confidence is everything and for all the successes I have, one error and it all goes tumbling down.

Also the company wants everything, pimping me out to other companies to get revenue to offset my salary instead of just having me as a R&D resource. And these issues are the consequences of only allowing me to work for 2 days a week on this very complex PCB and off to Teledyne to work on their projects for 3 days. I always have to generate revenue instead of being a capital expense, generating income when they sell the PCB's.

Wow, Jessica.

You do have your plate full. I can understand better what you are going through now. Just remember to hit the pause button now and then. Take time for yourself and unwind a bit.

Hugs!

I exchanged quick glances with a pretty woman yesterday.  She had full makeup leaving the grocery store. Her older female partner, I assume she was her partner because the were far too close together, didn't seem to look at me, perhaps because she had reached the age of invisibility and no longer did that.  Or maybe because her partner got all the looks. We both smiled at each other.  My view was a side eye but she could tell I was looking at her.  I dressed to look casual but I'm sure the pretty women knew I put some thought into my outfit.  I work black booties and black pants to make me look taller.  I had a yellow undershirt to add a litle pop of color and to stay warm in the cold refrigerator section of the store.  A little dark red lipstick. I wore my new Timex floral watch!  Timex watches are cleverly engineered and built with good quality for their price point.

I am working on that as well as my walk. Trying to avoid saying hello with a head nod (as someone pointed out earlier), and instead giving a smile or verbalizing a "hello".

I notice my walk is improving too. Almost automatic now. Lean back just a bit, back straight, shoulders back, chin level, elbows in, movement in the hips and not the shoulders. I can feel the difference in my muscles, the glutes, and hip flexors.

The gal in the video said leaning back a bit is a good way to learn to walk in heels too. I won't be wearing heels though. At close to 6 feet tall, my boots put me at 6'1" and heels would make me freakishly tall in my POV. The upside is the extra height is all in leg length, so maybe that's a good thing.

Yes, long legs look good!
Many short girls also have short legs.
I consider myself fortunate to have long legs for my size.

You may want to consider wearing shoes with a little bit of heel but not a lot.
If you are tall maybe you should flaunt it!  Wear high heels if you think a shorter person would!

I wear clothes that fit well.  I think loose or large clothes is a really bad look when you are small.
It isn't hard for me to find crop styles that are the right length without hemming them myself.

@Maid Marion

I have two pairs of boots that have 1-inch heels and one pair with 1 1/2" heels. The 1-inch boots come to just below the knee, but the 1 1/2" just cover the ankles. For a long time, I slouched to hide my height, but lately, I have been embracing it. By focusing on how I walk, with proper posture, I am breaking away from old habits.

(BTW that song you shared is beautiful! I don't understand what she is singing either but her voice and music really complement each other. Thanks for sharing that!)

Yeah, for i go for a fitted/semi-relaxed fit and I find that works best for balancing my proportions.

For me I tend to go for what is comfortable not too loose and definitely not to tight.

As an aside to clothing I'm intrigued by the your screen user name.  What made you choose "Foxxi Moxxi?  It would be nice to know.

When you feel more comfortable in posting, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Take care and all the best for the future.
