Wonder if we'll have anything around here. We do have an organization in the area, Tristate Transgender. They keep a pretty low profile.

Did you try the support group sub? Maybe you can find something there nearby.

Small groups are cool too, and sometimes more welcoming and warming. Some I have attended are like family.

Transgender Day of Visibility, often abbreviated as TDOV, is an annual event celebrated on March 31 to honor and raise awareness about transgender people, their contributions to society, and the discrimination they face.  First held in 2009, it was created by transgender activist Rachel Crandall Crocker as a way to celebrate living members of the transgender community and not just mourn their losses, which was the focus of the Transgender Day of Remembrance.

This day today aims to celebrate the joy and resilience of transgender and non-binary people while also highlighting the ongoing struggles and the need for continued support and advocacy. Events and activities include posting selfies and personal stories on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram to increase visibility and awareness.

There may be events near you, although for some reasons some TDOV events are not actually held today, but on surrounding days.
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Thank you, Chrissy! I had the same question at my TDOV event on Friday. The most logical answer I received was that some people attend multiple events during this time and are at different ones each day. But, yeah weird!
