Yes. Omg yes. It's like a British staple. Good quality sausages, good quality mashed potato (I don't mean the kind out of a packet, I mean the kind put through a potato ricer with copius amounts of milk and butter), and a good, thick beef gravy... that is actual heaven. And one dish I know how to do rather extraordinarily well.
You basically have a pile of mashed potato and stick sausages into them like unexploded World War 2 Ordnance. The term "bangers" comes from cooking good quality sausages where the skins on them would "bang" and split in the pan. Mash is... I mean it's mashed potato.
