This is an interesting but unusual short video.

Apparently in a Seattle neighborhood someone who is obsessed in some ways with squirrels is posting many fliers that are referencing squirrels, such as squirrel watching.   Unsure if this flier posting practice or what is behind it is simply fun, amusing, strange, or just trying to get attention.

Apparently a local television station in Seattle [FOX, Channel 13] was made aware of this and did a report. There is more information online and at social media, showing more examples of these squirrel related posters.   Maybe it was a slow news day.  Regardless, this was unusual and a number of local residents have opinions about the posters.

I do not know who this "squirrel person" is, I just stumbled across this video made last week on YouTube.

From an AI summary:

The Seattle Squirrel Watcher is a mysterious individual who has been posting squirrel-related fliers around Seattle for about a half year. These fliers go from humorous to quirky, such as the one that reads, "Missing squirrel!"  Another flier asks the community to prank their neighbors by putting acorns under the hoods of their cars.

The posters are linked to an Instagram account called "SquirrelWatchingSeattle."

FOX Channel 13 Seattle reported that the person behind these fliers has posted more than 1,000 posters since August, 2024.  The squirrel posters have gained significant attention, with thousands of people seeing the different posters on Instagram. The Squirrel Watcher has also offered a service where she or he will come to your house dressed as a squirrel, and you can feed him or her peanuts, which are supplied by this "squirrel person."

Jamesen Shoptaw, a resident of Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, has seen the fliers on lamp posts and finds them to be funny. He hopes the Squirrel Watcher continues his or her work, as it has brought some laughter and joy to the community.

There have been more squirrel posters stapled to poles in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle.

To see some of them, search for Seattle squirrel watcher posters.  They are posted on some social media sites.

Odd but true!  Unsure what the point is of these posters.

Apparently some people like them and others do not.

I wonder if it is a social experiment.

The squirrels are testing us. We are their lab rats.

They watch the news and are convinced that humans are not sane.

They want to determine how insane we really are.  ;D

UPDATE

There have been new squirrel posters stapled to poles in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle.

To see some of them, search for Seattle squirrel watcher posters.  They are posted on some social media sites.  There is an Instagram site for this and you can view that without logging in.  One new poster shows a bag of nuts under the poster.

Odd but true!  Unsure what the point is of these squirrel posters.

Apparently some people like them and others do not.

I wonder if it is a social experiment.

Could be.

I will occasionally check for more posters and report back.

The poster (aka Squirrel Watcher) seems to mention Cal Anderson Park at times.
