Have you kept your pre-transition clothes?

In the  beginning I kept my old blue jeans and T-shirts for working around the yard, oil changes, etc.

Nowadays I have one item left: my Army field jacket. I wear it every year for Veterans Day, Remembrance Day, whatever the local military observance is.

Have you kept any of your old male or female clothing?

Hugs, Devlyn

Annaliese

Once I accepted who I was, I went on a field day throughout my house. I threw everything out including all my military uniforms.  I had a set of deress whites and blues set aside. But I decided above all my clothes I had that these were the ones that I had to get rid of last. I did keep 1 pair of jeans, tshirt sneakers though. Not sure why. But I also spent that entire week cleaning out my house and threw all my memories of my past away except a few that I could not part with. Mostly because I intend on relocating in the future and did not want to drag them with me. I promised myself that I would never return to my previous male wardrobe again.
Always  look forward, there's no ⏳ to look  🔙. You are the person you were always meant to be.
Remember: if you focus too much on the destination,  you'll miss all the amazing stuff in-between.

Same here. They are more durable, and mining is rough on clothes. I also still have four pair of flannel-lined jeans for cold weather prospecting, as well as a heavy jacket.

I've been slowly purging my wardrobe. I get to spend weekends with my 10 year old son, and this past weekend, he asked why I've been wearing the same clothes all the time.  ;D

I don't mind keeping working clothes, for out of doors chores and vehicle maintenance.  I don't have mens undies but I do have my favorite 501s.  I still have my seabag packed, less boon dockers, underwear and socks.  Don't intend on getting rid of it.

I got rid of my male clothing in my 3rd month of my transition once I started living and dressing as female

I have some.  I choose to present as male when I think it is wise to do so.

That may not make sense as a woman to do so.  But it is likely good for me at least for those few times.

I still do this when traveling, for getting through security and car rentals.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I dress for traveling comfort.  No sweat suits and flip flops. Ugh!
Travel for me is always slacks or jeans, a polo or button up with light jacket.  Androgenous but femme not flashy and but my hair, jewelry and makeup are always appropriate.
