My second week of being on hormones starts next week. One of the biggest things I've enjoyed about being on hormones isn't physical, it's mental. My mind feels peaceful, and I don't have all the white noise going on. The last two days I've felt so incredibly peaceful. I went most of yesterday without thinking about anything gender related.
Feminine journey started summer 2020
GD diagnosed summer 2024
Social transitioning 2024-present
Started HRT, & my womanhood 5-12-25
I love femininity ✨

That is nice to hear.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Starting hormones is very gender affirming, and usually comes with a level of euphoria. This can last for a while, but generally evens out in coming weeks or months. For many people who haven't quite convinced themselves that transition is the right thing, this euphoria can make them decide it is, and the sooner the better. Recognise that you are euphoric, and your body is getting used to a new hormone balance, and avoid making important commitments for a while.

But, congratulations on starting your hormone journey, and enjoy the feelings!

Hugs,

Allie

I enjoy still the daily ritual of dissolving the tablet under my tongue.
