I'm thinking about my beautiful dress right now! It's a vintage 80s bridesmaid dress with a very full skirt! I love the ruffles on the bottom of the enormous skirt! Looking forward to wearing it tomorrow morning before I go to work! Will even wear my hooped petticoat underneath to give more fullness! Will be watching tv while gently feeling around the enormous skirt! 💗💗

I am glad that you have a fabulous dress for you to enjoy.

That is very nice.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

What a really pretty dress Ruby. I got married in the eighties and I remember well the beautiful style back then.
I love a nice dress. I find it can make me feel feminine and comfortable in myself.
Enjoy your dress and enjoy wearing it.
I don't have a gender issue.
I love being a girl.

I see that you have returned as a member here on the Forum after your absence ...

          WELCOME BACK

As you might be  aware, the site experienced a site crash on January 1st, 2024  and much
data was lost including member accounts, postings, private messaging, etc.

Through what seemed to be endless work, our staff has done a great job in piecing things
together again to very quickly have a fully operation site even though much of the lost
data appears to be unrecoverable.

Some things have changed here on the Forum since you were last here... you should
read a couple announcements that were posted after the crash:

Thank you Danielle for the lovely welcome. I'll catch up with those changes now.
Yes I've been away from the forum for a while. Life got in the way (as it does) but it is nice to be back.
I've missed chatting with ladies that have so much in common with me.
I don't have a gender issue.
I love being a girl.

Hi Ciara

My name is Sarah and I would also like to formally, Welcome you back to Susan's Place!

I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you back as well.

Your note about catching up and how life got in the way struck a chord with me.  I completely understand spending a long stretch away from Susan's.  In my own case I did not discover the forum until 2010 even though I had already changed my life and was quietly living as a woman with virtually no one aware of my past.  Susan's Place quickly became a place where I could learn and contribute.  I stepped away in 2012 then twelve years passed before I returned.  Now I'm once again learning and giving back to the community.

Life does get in the way.  I have seen other members who were active when I first joined, leave for awhile only to reappear later.  It is natural.  What matters is that when we come back the doors are still open and the conversations pick up as though no time has passed.

Take your time settling in.  Catch up on everything at your own pace.  The ladies here can share so much with you and they are eager to chat with you also.  It is wonderful to have you back among friends.

Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members.

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Take care and all the best for the future.

Once again, Welcome back to Susan's Place!

Best Wishes Always

Thank you for your lovely message Sarah. It is nice to be back, especially when you receive such warm welcomes.
Life, unfortunately, can have a habit of getting in the way.

@Rubycd79
My apologies Ruby for hijacking your thread. I hadn't intended that.
You look gorgeous in that dress.
I don't have a gender issue.
I love being a girl.

That's a lovely dress, I love how rich the colour is!

It's an older picture, but this is my nearly-world-famous blue dress.  ;D
