Shrimp prawns crab and lobsters  are good. Not sure squid and octopus  are shellfish  though. Have eaten squid but not octopus.  Not a fan of class mussels etc.

With conditions: I'm allergic to the good stuff (shrimp, crab, lobster) but can eat oysters cooked in milk (oyster stew) and clam chowder. Oh well, nothing wrong with a good steak now and then.

I think it is one of those scientific classification things that put the octopus and squid into the shellfish family.  Much like something you think are fruit or berries or vegetables are in that unexpected category.

I like shrimp, prawns, lobster, crab, oysters, and clams. Squid, crawdads, mussels, and octopus are fish bait when shark fishing. I don't care for scallops and haven't tried the others.

I have not eaten winkle, sea cucumber, and sea urchins.

Come to think of it, some of the other shellfish listed too!
