I have had a lovely weekend with my boyfriend. There is a massive bonus too. He is a really good cook. I'm learning a lot.

So it's Persian food, fantastic, he is from Iran. Do not ask what it is all called lol.

Some details about the house. It's a 3 story town house on a new estate just outside the town of Corby.

Each floor has 2 identical sized rooms 6 in total. And with the exception of kitchen and main bedroom can be used for any thing.

I have the living area on the bottom floor + kitchen. The second floor has the main bedroom with en-suite and the HIFI music room. Yes a whole room dedicated to the dansette. Floor above is a study/second guest room, bath room and the main guest room.

All of this is for me!!!

Shame I have work tomorrow battling the A1.

Oh Davina, I'm only an hour away so yes will catch up.

Forgot to mention, my teddy bear she is called Annabelle and comes everywhere with me.

Hugs
Jessica

Tagine, lots of sweet spices. Some of my Indian curry recipes have heavy influence from that part of the world.

Another weekend with my new boyfriend.

So, here is a theory, work with me. A cis girl would or could start puberty at 11 add 6 years and now she is 17. At that age hormones are raging. I am on 6 years and I feel like 17.

Never felt this way before and I love it.

Our relationship is progressing well. Getting to know each other. Eating lots of lovely food cooked for me.if we are not together it's chat and phone.

I took a little risk Sunday and put on the first F1 GP on TV. He had never seen it before but he loved it.

Next weekend is going to be probmatic. I had arranged a month or so ago that a work friend Phil, is to come and visit me. This was before things heating up. I have to tell my BF that it's happening and I have to do it tomorrow. I hope he will come and we can host Phil together. Fingers crossed.

Night all

Hi folks

It's been a turbulent 2 weeks. We are officially no longer women in the UK.
This is a nation wide bathroom ban and more. There are only 2 sexes and trans women are men. Trans men are women.

I have not been able to get to the many protests which is a shame but they are too far.

I do not know yet how my company is going to react to this announcement and the UK human rights declaring that all single sex spaces must be for biological sex people only could mean I am forced to use male toilets when at work which will obviously out me to everyone.

I have been off work for these 2 weeks with a brief return for a couple of days but working from home. I am dreading going into work Monday. I have been crying a lot. For the first time ever my mental health is shot to pieces and I am usually very mentally strong.

Here in the UK we have no where to go. No friendly state or state laws the Supreme Court judgement is of course illegal as it breaks European rights law which the UK is a signature. But it seems governments these days ignore such things. They do not call this country TERF island for nothing. Ok enough.

My time off work has been super though. Rez has stayed and soon be moving in permanently he has his own room so he can paint (he is an artist) and Friday organised for some of his originals to be scanned for printing and made available for sale. I have created a website which will go live soon. I will link it here when it is. Unless it's against the rules.

Time to get up

TanyaG says the people doing this to us (on both sides of the pond) dwell in the shallow end of the pool and their voices will soon be drowned out by a sane and compassionate majority. I pray she is right but, even if she is, that hope does little to make today's pain more bearable. I am grateful for all the safe spaces, especially this one, Jessica K, and I hope sharing your angst makes it a bit less painful. I pray your today is better than yesterday.

It's been a long time since my last confession.
Things are happening fast here.

I moved just under 6 months ago and bad news I have been effectively kicked out of my house. The owner has sold it and I have to move out.

The good news is I found another identical house a few mins away on the same estate. Had the keys since Wednesday and been moving about 20 car loads in ever since. Amazing what you can put in an X1. The large items are to be moved next weekend.

For the next bit of the story I have to go back to the beginning of the month and Fizzy Friday. The estate I live on has an amphitheatre run by the estate community that every house owner pays in each year. And the first Friday of each summer month a band is hired to play. This time it was a queen tribute band.

Anyway I went and was alone and soon met with a couple of women and had a great time dancing and chatting. Fast forward to Wednesday evening and moving in a car load. The door opened opposite and OMG it was Diane one of the ladies!!

As for politics.

No idea what's going to happen. Still waiting for the axe to fall with the toilet ban but does not look good. Nothing from my work yet. I been in the main Luton office last week, just carried on as usual. Trans groups have written to the European rights body to ask for them to report on trans rights in the UK. It's a precursor to bring a case to the court that has been filed but could take years. Years we do not have.

Pride month. Local council has banned pride flags from public buildings now an ultra right wing council has been elected. Many prides are next month with London and Newcastle both of which I will be going.

Rez, he is moving in with me at the new house and giving up his flat in Coventry yay.

Bye for now and will try to pop in more often

I'm glad to hear that despite a few setbacks, everything seems to be going well for you.

Politics have become rabid in many places over the last few years, I think the changes came more quickly than most of us expected. Hopefully things will get better in a few years, but until then we must all be careful.
