Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Same plus quail, tarantulas, and a road runner. The road runner was injured, and we tried unsuccessfully to nurse it back to health. They do not do well in captivity.

We lived on a ranch, where we raised rabbits commercially, so probably not pets. We also had horses, chickens, and ducks.

This is quite an unfortunate thing.

Okay so when I was a kid, my brothers wanted a cat. So we got the spawn of Satan and it hated me. And I hated it. But... they also wanted some weird pets so we got some Terrapins.

Now, my brothers were utter sadists, and they would get these little guys and pretend they were race cars. And try to race them by throwing the shells forward when the freaked out little dudes were huddled up inside. It was quite creepy and obnoxious.

I am quite sure that if it were possible for a tiny turtle to suffer PTSD, they did. Because my brothers were A-holes.

Sounds like my brothers.

We had a desert tortoise for a short while. Then we learned they were a protected species, and it was illegal to have them as pets. After that, if we found one out in the desert, we would run home and bring back lettuce from the refrigerator for him.

That is actually it, LOL. We had a sort of giant dry fishtank for these little things but my brothers were like "Gone in 60 seconds" across the carpet. Needless to say, these little dudes were in a final destination movie and they died because my brothers were dumbasses.

Speaking personally, though. I have pet snakes. Royal pythons. They are adorable. They eat all the spiders. I have 2 of them. <3

Are spiders enough?

I would think they need more than that. It could be a way to get rid of that pesky neighbor's cat.  ;D

Wait.

How many spiders do you have there? I might see one every two weeks. If you are feeding two pythons with them... girl, you need an exterminator!  :icon_yikes:

Hah no, they need to eat mice too. Which I get from the local pet store. But I have a plethora of spiders in my house too, so I just give them the whole lot. It's like a McDonalds breakfast, without the annoying bread product! ;D

There are a lot of spiders. I have literally Shelob in my outside shed. I am sure she is like the queen of the spiders. She is the scariest thing outside of @Sarah B's domain down in Oz. For a British spider, she's the biggest I've ever seen. I've had to pay someone at least 6 times in the last year to get rid of the cobwebs in my house because I can't do it myself. But hey, I don't have any houseflies. There are no cobwebs or spiders near my snakes though. They love those things. ;D

Did you get the Goldfish from a funfair, Kim? Hook-a-duck? I totally forgot about that, lol. I had about five of those over the years when I was a kid, and they all lasted about two weeks each. They came in a little plastic bag. Poor things must have been terrified, for three seconds, then didn't care, lol. But we got a new one like every year when the fair came around. ;D Either hook-a-duck, or that shooting thing. My mum was a crack shot. It was kind of scary, really.

It came from Fleetwood  fair and lasted about  3 weeks. A few days  longer than  my sister's!
