You Communicate Like a Woman

You empathize, talk things out, and express your emotions freely.
You're a good listener, and you're non-judgmental with your advice.
Communication is how you connect with people.
You're always up for a long talk, no matter how difficult the subject matter is.

You Communicate Like a Man
When you communicate, you like to get to the point.
You're not afraid to say what's on your mind - and leave it at that.
Talking about your emotions drains you. You rather keep them to yourself.
You prefer solving problems to wallowing in your sorrows.

I communicate just like a woman.

But I break just like a little girl.

I had a sufficient amount of female teachers through the years and learned from their behaviour and how they express feelings and thoughts with one another. Of course once the estrogen kicks in but good, the rest comes to life rather rapidly. After 8 years on estrogen much of me has changed so that now I would find it difficult to remember how I expressed myself in the other persona. So of course I communicate or express myself as a lady.

Is that a Bob Dylan reference perchance?

I believe we've got a winner! Tell her what she's won, Rod!

Sorry, I guess it was a pretty cheesy reference. :embarrassed: I've always interpreted that song as vaguely trans, hearing in it something that's really not there. Same with Carol King's "Natural Woman." And "My Old Man" by Joni Mitchell is actually the defiant song of a gay man in a committed relationship, resigned to the futility of his hope for gay marriage to be legalized.

I shouldn't be allowed to listen to music. :P Especially late '60's/early '70's folk rock.

I think our results are skewed.  We know so much about gender differences--much more than the average person--that we know what answers to choose to get our desired result.  If we want the results to be female, we choose the answers we know are female and vice versa.

Going through it, I found it obvious for most of the answers which one was the "female" answer and which was the "male" answer.  I know there are some things I do with regards to communicating that may be considered more masculine, so I just answered honestly and came up with a result that I communicate like a woman, which was no surprise really.  It's just that when you know how to manipulate the outcome, it calls the credibility of the quiz and it's results into question.

i got 'like a woman'. but i already knew it would be. i'm a very expressive person but so are a lot of men. it's just that most men have been taught they shouldn't be.

I could post another boring paper I wrote on this subject.

You're right.

Nonetheless, I do in general communicate more like a woman than a man. People have commented on this before.
