Quote from: Jaymie Z on Yesterday at 04:41:45 PMMy brother and I grew our hair out while in High School in the 1970's.
I grew up in the California desert, so every Spring, our mom would give us kids a buzz cut to last through the summer. In high school, also the 70s, I grew it out past my shoulders.
I joined the Army in 1975, and the barber was so happy to see me!
As he clipped off my hair, he asked, "Would you like to keep your sideburns?"
I said, "Yes, please."
He used the clippers to cut them off and put them in my hand.
Almost 15 years later, when I got out of the service, I began growing it out again. In 2000, I cut it and donated a nine-inch ponytail to Locks of Love. I kept it short for a few years, but started growing it out again. Sadly, it does not grow as fast, nor in all the places I want it to.
So, I have my collection of wigs.
