Hello lovely humans!! I wanted to give y'all one final post on this topic. I know it has been quite some time since I posted, however, I just had my final checkup about a week ago. It was my 6th month checkup, but it was more like my 8th month checkup. We both had some difficulty in coordinating our schedules, but we got there eventually.
Okay, so the nitty gritty - my breasts look amazing! Which was my opinion prior to seeing my surgeon and it was hers as well once she got to see them. Her nurse who took me for pictures also exclaimed in delight at how lovely they looked once I disrobed. What everyone says is that they look totally natural. Which I love!
Now no disrespect to anyone who chose to do any other form of breast augmentation, as I would have done whatever it took once I decided to do it. I just got kind of fortunate in that I had enough natural growth, I had enough body fat, I had enough money (implants are cheaper,) and I only wanted a limited increase in size. Due to these specific factors I am absolutely in love with my results.
I have discussed quite a bit of the discomfort of this surgery. My surgeon and I both agree that she beat me up bad in surgery. Liposuction is no joke! For some it may be easy, but some it's gonna be tough. My body has fat that is stringy and very difficult to remove, so thus I ended up in quite a bit of pain. At this point my pain is 98% gone. Only very rarely will I feel any discomfort now.
The other thing I am in love with regarding this surgery, and an explanation for an increase in cost, is the results of the liposuction. An augmentation with implants is pretty simple and the surgery is often finished in under an hour. My surgeon worked on me for about 5 and half hours. Almost all of the work was the liposuction. She took fat from the backs of my arms, my back where that lovely bra bulge lives, my lower back right above my butt (which really made my booty pop way more,) and my abdomen (which reshaped my belly but did not remove my entire belly, so it's not completely flat. As it turns out often belly fat can be a deeper fat that surrounds the organs and isn't really easily removed by an upper level liposuction.)
Blah, blah, blah! What all that lipo did to my shape was lovely, but wait there's more! My body shifted where it decided to store fat after my surgery. Prior to my surgery I actually lost weight. Since then I have gained about 15-20 pounds. A little too much actually, lol. However, while my belly has gotten a bit bigger and I have gained a dress size, lots of the weight is now going to my boobs, yay! But it is also going to my butt, my hips, and my thighs. Which ahs been totally unexpected. So now my butt is totally poppin! Um, unexpected surprise! My body's newer weight storage combined with my dr's lipo, and the increase in my breasts has left me amazingly shapely all over.
Overall I am super happy and would say that this surgery was well worth the cost. I thought it would be a fairly small thing in affecting my dysphoria and I was wrong. This has been very similar in treating my dysphoria as my full bottom surgery was. That surgery changed my genitals, which was super important, right? But this surgery changed just about everything else about my body, which is amazing!
Okay, that's all. Thanks for reading. I wish you all well!
