Hello everyone,

I have recently just returned to Susan's place after a 15 year absence.  I had started counseling for gender dysphoria as a transgender woman, and was ready to start transitioning when life got in the way.  I am now seeing another therapist, and I am hoping to start my transition journey again.  I live in an area that is not very LGBTQ friendly and I hope to connect with others through this site, and at a minimum be able to share my story.

Hi Melissa Anne,

Welcome! It is hard when you have to hide your identity.  Perhaps a move is in your future?

I moved all the way across the country to find a job that would use my skills and education.

Welcome back Melissa Anne!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.
