I miss downhill skiing, do you?

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Yes, I did.

This weekend I realized how much I miss it.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Still go skiing at age 74 and have just booked for next March to Montgenevre in France. Like Lori I first went skiing in Germany in 1974 while there with the RAF

These days I take it very slow and just enjoy being in the mountains and the fresh air while gliding gently down the slope. I go with my daughter so she can make sure I don't get lost.

We always book a place in a small chalet with about 40 strangers where they supply a bottle of wine with dinner so makes for a great evening to go with the skiing.

Next year, because of my age, the ski pass will be free

I'll be going as long as I still can. I'm usually the oldest in the chalet by a long way, but don't feel it, thanks to HRT

I played golf with a random partner who broke his leg in a skiing accident twenty years ago.  Golf was the only sport he could do after breaking his leg.  We  walked six holes together on a hilly golf course.  I went on to play thirty holes of golf, eventually catching the group behind us.

Although I have done some downhill skiing, I was more into cross-country skiing when I lived near the Rocky Mountains.  But I have lived for too long near both the west and the east coasts, and coastal snow just isn't the same stuff.  It is pretty hard to wax for it, and mostly not worth the hassle.  I do miss it.

That is a lot of holes to play in a day but if you are in good physical condition, it can be a lot of variety.
