Seeing my mom yesterday, she is doing great since she moved into her apartment after my dad passed. Took her out for lunch too

I am glad she is doing well.

That sounds like a very nice thing a daughter would do for her mom.

Today was an easy day at work. I'm working middays on Friday, and I get to start my 3 day weekend early. 😀

The only thing that beats a three-day weekend is a four-day weekend.

When I worked in construction, we would often get a chance to work four ten-hour days instead of five eight-hour days. Long weekends are great. Nothing is more precious than your time. It is something that, when lost, we cannot get back.

Enjoy! 😀

I had a job where we worked four 10's in the summer. The only thing I liked about it was that I could get 30 miles of biking in those three days.

Unpacking seems to be a never-ending job for us. We still have a lot of boxes to go through, but we finally emptied the last 'wardrobe' box last night.

I got the Patriot emptied of mining and survival gear. Removed the equipment mounts and replaced the factory "grab handles". Took it over to the car wash, got it vacuumed, and had a quick wash. The Basic Wash is $8.00. I dropped three quarters into the machine, and the fourth one was rejected. The prompt said, "Thank you, please pull forward." So I got an $8.00 wash for 75 cents.

I got home and logged in here, and the phone rang. My Wrangler is at the dealership getting gassed up and detailed. I can pick it up around 4:00 PM.

Woohoo!

Wow! I don't think I've even seen anyone pick up a Wrangler! Unless maybe you're referring to someone who works with livestock on a ranch...

My parents had five used car lots in Oklahoma, back in the day. They had a mechanic who worked on the cars for them. My stepdad told me to ask him what his hobby was. He said, "Lifting motors". I watched him grab an engine on a Chevy Vega, lift it out of the car, turn around and take about four steps, and set it in the back of a truck. Bubba was not a small man. 😄

The new Wrangler is now home. I haven't eaten all day, so time for dinner. Tomorrow, I'll take it out and play a little while I learn where all the buttons and gadgets are.

I am hopeful that yet another war may really be ending.

It is sad that people hurt each other.  Too much hate out there.  Let us find more love and kindness.

I recently gave away three older wigs and some of my early bras (that just did not fit right) and some clothing that was too big.  I am hoping some women find some of the clothes useful.  Unsure if anyone will use one of the wigs; but, you never know.

I went to the No Kings rally today at my city. Didn't apply makeup but I wore my favorite Open Arms advocacy pink pride shirt. I met several members of my LGBT community there. There was a wide variety of people there. The cutest has to be a black and white dog wearing a No Fascism sign. It was a very good day considering the energy from the crowd there.

Dear Jessica:
That is really good news.
Personally I like dealing with local pharmacists that know me and know
what meds that I usually take.   I don't care for mail-only pharmacies.

I met with my therapist today. I told her about the issues I have had doing Telehealth video appointments with Endocrinology. My Primary tried to set up a local appt here in town, but the VA Regional center changed it to a video call.

I was in my Jeep about to leave and my therapist called. She said the VA policy is that I can refuse a video appt if I prefer face to face visits.

SCORE! I love loopholes.

Realising I've lived 34 years  as Jimmy,  34 as Kim. I've been fortunate  to have 2 lives in 68 years. Never thought I'd get past 21 as a kid!
