I can't find anything strange in the article, he isn't offering srs or something for children...........

He's offering them a chance to delay their puberty in order to find things out. I know one girl (She's going to get SRS this august, she recently turned 18.) who was pretty happy with this.

Offcourse giving the drugs to stop them in getting into puberty isn't something that should be done overnight, but wellthought. This is the responsibility for both the parents as the doctors prescribing them.

They do it here in the Netherlands for some time (I saw an overwhelming documentary here, called "Valentijn".). Giving the medicines, is only done if the behaviour is long time consistent, and after a lot of sessions (Only once a month, not to push things.) and, not before puberty strikes, (around age 12 - 13)
And offcourse it's somewhat controversial, but Transsexualism in general is for a certain amount of people considered controversial.

Well done, Veerle. Excellent summary and analysis. I agree and am happy to see a different approach being used than simply crushing children into an iron box that fits another person, but not them.
