I'm a fairly private person and in my current daily life I have 1 or 2 close personal friends and that's it, other than my family and coworkers.

Coming out at work will involve planning, so I'm not ready to do that until I'm on T and have my legal name change, etc, and get my ducks in a row just in case they let me go (not likely but a possibility).  I'll also come out to my family (parents, siblings) at that time.  My kids already know.

I've come out to an old college buddy and another friend who lives several states away, and I'm considering coming out to my friends that don't live locally via email.

Does this sound like a plan?  To complicated?  To simple?

On the one hand I feel like screaming, this is me, deal! but on the other I want to give more info without getting too personal.

Edited to add: these are people who don't know my family or my coworkers or close friends, so word leaking won't likely happen.

Don't you just love email.  Yes I did the same thing when I came out to remote friends.  I emailed them and then waited to see the responce.  Oddly enough not one of my friends ran away.  I still have all the old friends and gee lots of new ones too.

Family I either went and saw in person, IE (My kids) or wrote a letter, brother and aunts.  Again no major screaming which really surprised me as my aunts are southern baptists.

Good luck to you. I found it harder to do then it actually turned out to be.

February, 22 I started coming out as a ts and going to live 24/7 as a female.  :) I did as much as I can in telling everyone face to face. The ones farther away I called on the phone to tell them. I even came out at work to the owner and she asked for a little time( it was a week) so she could let co-workers know and the customers I delivered to.  It went well..kinda....after a month some customers complained about me so I suggested to the owner to let me work in the warehouse.  She agreed and I am working a lot harder than ever but it is helping me to lose weight faster.  I am down 51 pounds since the first part of February.
Now I have coffee every Saturday morning with friends(we are all retired).  The friends in my fantasy baseball league have no prob;em with it.  I am commissioner of the league for the 3rd year.  Many other friends have no problem either.
3 kids and 1 brother are having a tough time dealing with it even though they originally said no problem.  My therapist said to give them time so i am.  I am sure they will come around.
I may grow old but I refuse to grow up.

I have a friend who was my best friend for 6 years... I sometimes wonder if I should tell her... heck, her birthday is in July... I'm scared that if she wanted to see me she'd be like, "WHERE'D SHE GO?" Heheh...
