I wear tights or leggings when I need to dress up or feel warm. Other wise I like to go bear legged.

No Nonsense Barely There thigh-highs.

Theres no crotch to struggle to pull back up after every pee, and if you run one leg the other is still usable.

I find it frustrating as the designs and availability keep changing so often, so I tend to buy a pair, and then if I like them go back for more, before they go out of stock or change again.

In the UK I like "Pretty Polly" and "Boots" brands for everyday wear, but always look for a good waisband and fitting range as I am rather tall. Colour wise, I wear sheer "nude" with dresses (unless I have been on holiday and picke up a Tan) but, but tend to wear "barely black" with my suits.

Although I think stockings and garter belts are very sexy and thigh highs are more practical, I wear no nonsense and haines pantyhose when i have on a skirt or dress.

GG's today wear pantyhose and I am a lady.  So I wear pantyhose.  I think panties under pantyhose look very sexy and so do the guys.

I wear stocking or pantyhose a lot, Not just because it it helps me feel more en-fem but because I have a lot of tiny blue spider veins all over my legs and the hose helps covers it up.

In high school in the early 70s, my girlfriend wore a particular style of JCPenny pantyhose called Subtle Shaper. They were control top in a suntan color, and I used to buy them almost exclusively because they were the same ones she wore. She never knew I dressed, but she had some suspicions based on some of my hinting comments. Penny's doesn't make this particular style anymore, but I loved wearing them for years.

Well put, Ronda! My sentiments exactly.

I believe pantyhose first became popular in the late 60s (in the US, anyway), when L'eggs started selling marketing their eggs in supermarkets and convenience stores. That was shortly after miniskirts became popular. I always assumed that was the reason women switched to pantyhose.

I believe most women rarely wore pantyhose in the 50s and early 60s. They wore garter belts and stockings. Certainly I never found any pantyhose in my mother's lingerie drawer; just regular stockings.

Allen Gant Senior invented pantyhose. In 1959, Glen Raven Mills of North Carolina introduced pantyhose -- underpants and stockings all in one garment. With the addition of an opaque nylon top, panthose eliminated the need for multiple "foundation" garments. In 1965, Glen Raven Mills developed a seamless pantyhose version that coincided with the introduction of the miniskirt. Allen Grant Senior is a descendant of John Gant, who founded the textile mill in 1902.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I love trying different brands of pantyhose and I really like wearing Hane's Silk Reflection's but I wear pantyhose from Sear's called "Nice Touch" the most often. They come in 3 styles a firm control, medium control and light control. They are silky and have a sexy panty with lace and a nice feel. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_075J1602000P?vName=Clothing&cName=Intimates&sName=Socks+%26+Hosiery
Sear's always has them on sale with a buy 3 get 1 free that makes them a really good buy.

I was going to start a thread just like this one, but after searching I found one already in progress.

Leggs Sheer Energy Control Top.  My absolute favorite!  They are quite durable and feel GREAT!  Since this is pretty much the extent of my daily (cross) dressing, I am pretty picky about what I get.

I have tried many different brands over the years but for price and feel JC Penny's still makes the best pantyhose in my opinion!

I despise pantyhose! Yes they feel awesome for about 10 minutes...and my legs look great in them...but, yes they are hot (temp) and peeing is oh so fun. My legs are decent enough to not wear them. I love thigh highs, but my upper legs are chubby and the roll down ???

Now fishnets just make me feel dirty(in a good way) :o

I buy the support hose for TWO GOOD reasons. First I suffer from BOTH forms of Arthritis. The second reason is that the more  " Sheer the stocking " , the more likely to have a  RUN SOON AFTERWARDS ! Hey go have sum fun folks ! Ellen Shaver :P
See ya on the road folks !!!

My preferred brand is either NoNonsense regular, or Sheer to waist. I also like regular Leggs. Suntan is a must. The reason why is a combination of strength vs. price. I'll spend a little more for no runs, as well to get my moneys worth.
