"Brianna, a blond, was stylish as bank-robbers go, in designer jeans and a tank top, except the hair wasn't real and neither was the name. Brianna Catherine Cery was actually Bryan Cery, a 53-year ->-bleeped-<- who was Bryan on some days, and Brianna on others. Apparently, on the day of the bank job, it was Brianna's turn."

I remember working at Alpha Beta in Costa Mesa back in the mid 70's. We had security in that day, they were ex police officers and they always carried gunes. Well, this guy decided to take a package of gum and didn't bother to pay for it. The security people saw this and asked him to come back into the store. He didn't but he did turn around with a gun in his hand and start shooting. He ran toward the K-Mart and hid in a phone booth. They had found him and I guess he really didn't want to be taken alive. He started shooting and you can guess what happened next, so did they. All that for a package of gum. It was very sad.

I'm a Safeway kind of girl anyway.
