These are guys who are not transsexual, but are taking extreme measures to combat scalp hair loss.  Many of these people take a far higher dose of Spiro than the mtf's on here, and many get Spiro from the internet without a doctor's prescription (sometimes from abroad).
Clearly, this is not recommended, but it just encourages me in thinking that perhaps Spiro is not as dangerous as you would think?

I have frequented hair loss sites for a few years, and do not remember hearing of someone getting serious side effects from Spiro.  Nowadays, millions of men around the world are also taking Avodart/Dutasteride (stronger version of Propecia/Finasteride) just to stop scalp hair loss.

I have thought of getting on topical Spiro, but it seems like the results of that are not too good.

Well.... my first thought is they are all lying, lol... I did not read every post but
the ones I did read don't sound like my experience with spiro.

I've was on less than half the recommended dose for my first three months
and my testosterone level was unmeasurable after the first 90 days. At the
time I was around 165lbs so I may not have needed as much as some guys.
It changed the function of my "boy" parts... I could still perform but the sensation
was totally different and things took a lot longer. But the impact on muscle
size has been the biggest thing. I've lost a bit of weight and a lot of that was pre-spiro
but I went from a mans large shirt a year ago to a mans small today and from 185 to 150 in weight.
A lot of that was not muscle loss but a portion was from about 165 to 150.

I cannot imagine a non transsexual male wanting to do that to grow hair... I just
don't get that. They are going to destroy their muscle mass... and all the
things that make their bodies look manly for the sake of hair.

But I guess it's no different than what we do... they must just have hair dysphoria
and are willing to do what it takes to grow it.

And I guess the bottom line they should know is that it has not changed my hair one bit.

True, many get it without a prescription.... but to think that spiro or any other drug for that matter is not as dangerous as you think is a serious oversight on your part...which could be life threatening if the right unfortunate conditions are present. Remember if you have to (diy) do it with knowledge, there are plenty of sites on the net to help.....but to be the safest a doctor is a must.  :)

Susan's Site does not support getting any drug without a prescription from a doctor.  Doing so is dangerous.

Quote from: Site Rules/Terms of Service8. The discussion of hormone replacement therapy(HRT) and it's medications are permitted, with the following limitations:

A. Advocating for or against a specific medication or combinations of medications for personal gain is strictly prohibited.
B. Discussing the means to acquire HRT medications without a prescription, and self medication without a doctors care is prohibited.
C. Discussing dosages is strongly discouraged to prevent information obtained on this site from being used to self medicate.

We can not in good conscience condone the self administering of these medications. I have a friend that went into renal failure because of hyperkalemia caused by using excessive amounts of unprescribed spironolactone.  Drugs do not have uniform responses in people.  Because one person can tolerate a large dose doesn't mean you can!  My friend almost died and was in the hospital for week.  She got a doc and takes androcur now.

Remember, spiro is a potent bloodpressure/heart medication given to GG's because its not safe for men <who wish to remain masculine and fertile> to use...

Growing hair back isnt a good reason to do stuff like that... <point of the hair is generaly to attract females... and what good is attracting them if you cant do anything afterwards?>

I'm certainly not an expert on the subject, but being that there are generally accepted risks to spiro this sounds a lot like saying russian roulette isn't dangerous because five out of six people survive a round.

Given a choice, avoiding gunfire is better than having a potentially good chance of dodging a bullet.  :D

Weird gun metaphors aside, "not as dangerous" is still dangerous.
