Hey Group have I a story to tell.

Today: June 04, 2008.
Place: On duty in delivery truck.

Many of you may already know that my 'boy' job is in the delivery department of a major home improvement company.  So here goes.  I was riding with my partner for the day, Mark.  As we were ending our day we stopped at a Burger King of a bathroom break and a smoke for me.  I stepped out of the truck to have my cigarette.  I wandered in front of the truck,  and when back to tell Mark that I wanted another smoke and that we could go back to the store afterwards.  The following is the conversation that occurred:

Mark: "When did you start wearing earrings" ( I had decided to start wearing them to see if anyone would notice, so far only Mark)( And no one has noticed my eyebrows are now more female )
Me: "About a week ago.  My ears have been pierced for 25 years now."
Mark: " Oh really? Both of them?"
Me: " Yeah"
Mark: with a puzzled look "Ahhh? OK?"
Me: "Yeah... mm mm... I'm a Transsexual"
Mark: jaw now in lap "OK I ahhhh... hummmmm"
Mark: "I never would have expected THAT"
Mark's look goes from puzzled to shock to that million questions look.
Mark; " I wish.... ahhh...you hadn't told me but I guess you had to tell someone"
Mark: " Why Me?"
Me: "I have always felt closer to you than any of the other guys" ( He is more open about stuff and he is cute :icon_wink:)( I wont tell him that! ;D)
Mark: "OK. Well thats interesting. How far are you planning to go?" ( Interesting it seems that Mr. Mark might know a thing or two about us  :) )
Me: "All the way thru surgery"
Mark: 'Really?  How long have you felt this way?"
Me: "All my life.  Sheri ( my EX ) knew.  That is what caused our breakup."
Mark: "What are you doing for it?"
Me: "I'm on hormones and I am seeing a therapist."
Me: "You the only one who knows, but I guess they will find out soon enough."
Mark: "I guess so.  Are you going to continue at work?"
Me: " I haven't thought that far, but yeah most likely.  Maybe not at our store." (I really have but I am not going to until I am further into HRT. I am only a month and a half. Waiting for some more obvious changes. )
Mark: "I see. Yeah we'll keep this between us. It is one else's business."
Mark: "I really don't care it is your life and you have to be happy in it"
we left it that and when back to the store to finish our day.  Later he continued.

Mark: " Have you noticed anything ... you know."  ( He points to his head )
Me: "Yeah I definitely think more female now"
Me: " And about once a month I take Provera." he smiles like he knows what that means.
Me: " And I have found that I emotionally get PMS." He  ::)
Me: " A friend of my had a poster in her office that showed a cat looking over its shoulder that read ' I have PMS AND AN AK47...Any damned questions"  Mark chuckles.

I trust Mark that it is between us, but if it does come out Oh Well! I have to cross that bridge someday, but he is right I do feel better that I have told someone I work with at work.

Outing oneself, unintentionally.  I had to share this story.

Love,
Janet

I'm not ready to come out at work yet but if someone asked point blank I probably wouldn't deny it.  Good for you!

In my corner I am so close to telling my brother, so tonight we were talking money and he said he thought I was loaded with my new job, and I said yeah, but I've had all these extra expenses these past few months, what with clothes, therapy, etc.  I asked (cuz my kids think he HAS to know, cuz it's obvious) if he noticed anything about me and he said no, you cut your hair, so what... ::)

Ah, maybe tomorrow, LOL, after I go to therapy and after my appt from my primary doc to get my referral to the endo (need that PLUS therapists letter to get T).  I'll be pumped.

Good Luck with your brother, therapist, doctor. I think you'll love HRT I know I do, but then it is different for FtM and MtF.  But the changes are wonderful for ether side.

Have fun my brother.

Love Your 'Sister',
Janet

HaHA! Brevity. I LOVE it.

Next time say it, then just walk away. That's cooler than cool.  8)

That was well done, Janet. Must make you feel pretty good about yourself. It should. :)

*sigh* It's one way to come-out at work. If you trust him at least you'll feel better about yourself I imagine. Not much downside to that, and a lot of upside.   :icon_hug: :icon_hug:

AwwWw! Thank you, Janet. Careful about listening to me though, look at Meghan--I made her all screwy. :p

And petite?! HAHaHAHA! Surely you jest! I'm 5'6, eh--maybe 5'6.5. I'm a giant by California girl standards. They're all 5' or 5'2. Blah.

I'm moving to Texas.

Just stay outta the suburbs and away from the malls where all the truly petite girls go and ya won't haveta move to Tex-Ass, Laci.

I'm sure you've noticed that.

I think the 'burbs breed girls to be tiny!!
