I received a great email from my Mom last week.  She will becoming over from England to visit with me and Gill on May 13th & 14th.  I'm soooooooo excited.  I phoned her today and we spoke about many things.  She noted that I seemed so much happier now, and said that she is really looking forward to seeing me as it will give her the chance to get to know her daughter. :)  Finally after so many years of indifference I'm going to get to know my Mom :)

I'm happy for you Stephanie. :)
Iv'e alway had a great relationship with my mom. But now i'm scared to tell her that her little boy is a girl.
I read about how you were so brave and told your mom and now how she loves you.
It's just great Stephanie. I wish for you two to grow a deep and long lasting relationship.

Wonderful news, Stephanie! I can relate very closely to your situation; my son (with whom I lost contact for several years, but have now come out to and who is very happy for me and supportive) is planning a visit here at the end of the summer.

It really is amazing how important family becomes to us; in a situation in which it sometimes feels that we have cut ourselves loose from society, their love and support makes all the difference.

Have a great time getting to know each other!
