Obama's message to LGBT Americans

http://www.gay.com/news/article.html?2008/06/10/2
6/10/2008

""I am proud to join with our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered
brothers and sisters in celebrating the accomplishments, the lives and
the families of all LGBT people during this Pride season. Too often,
the issue of LGBT rights is exploited by those seeking to divide us.
But at its core this issue is about who we are as Americans."

The message of the right wing will be on the opposite side of the fence. (What else is new?) Their tactics of divide and conquer may ultimately fail in this election.

I wait with bated breath for the attack/smear ad that is sure to show up against Obama.  I talked to my mother in Utah today and she told me that her family and neighbors have serious reservations about voting for him because he is "an Arab and a Muslim".  Unfortunately, she has shared the same concerns with me.  Right.  He is neither.  And if he were, why would it matter?

It's time to get religion out of politics and politics out of the bedroom.  And please.... get these dividers to divide themselves and go have a BBQ.

United we stand, divided we fall.  Who said that?

;)
