Man, I've been checking all day for new information, questions, or experiences and got nothing!

How was everyone's day?

Work, dogs, kids, the usual.  Counting the days til my prosthetic gets here (next Friday if I'm lucky).  I can NOT wait.

Other than that, hiding indoors in the AC.  Working online.

Had a pretty good work-out today

My ex is being a royal pain in my arse

Today was the first official day of the end of term for me, no school until fall!!

Today is also the first day in about 5 days it hasn't rained, so that's pretty awesome.

All in all, pretty good day.  :D

Yeah I've got a job now so i'm pretty busy... trying to deal with handling job and puberty at the same time.  I feel like a kids sometimes.

Gonna go to group in about an hour and tomorrow gonna try an FTM group.  I'm a bit nervous about that one.

Anyone else here sometimes feel inadequate around other FTMs?
  •

ConfusedMichelle

As for inadequate, I'm not sure.

However, I feel bad when I see an FTM in public and know that it's an FTM, not a male.  I usually wonder if they pass to the public and I just know the "symptoms" of an FTM or what, but I always feel terrible, ya know?

I had a really good work out too :) getting me some guns!

Eh, well see that's why i feel inadequate.  I don't "measure up" in many respects.

Today went well.  Two pizza parties for my clubs, cut 7th period to take a nap in front of the fan, and went car shopping.  Satisfactory in my opinion.

Why would you say that?

As to the original topic, Brady, I'm just sort of waiting around till my health gets in order before I can get HRt and surgery and such. So, I really never have much to say on this board, cause I can't really talk about that stuff and I've thoroughly exhausted Den and everyone else with my questions about T, so not much to say about being ftm. When surgery time and HRT time does come though, you can bet this board will be overwhelmed with me going on about it.

Yeah well 'cause i feel like i'll walk in tomorrow and everyone will look at me and think "he's not a real ftm..."

er i'm not saying it properly.  i don't wanna be judged is all, among people like me.

but yay for Brady for giving this forum a bit of a jolt.

I know I don't pass.  I still get ma'am and she a lot.  I don't know why, I think I look like a chubby guy.

Really time to start working out.  Hard when I'm stressed.

Hahaha, I haven't picked up any guys for a while.  But, my boyfriend used to act straight as a board, so I just guessed that since he was at a gay bar he was gay  sorry I'm not much help.

*takes a bow* thank you thank you! Lol jk.  But I'm sure you are just nervous.  I guarantee that you will walk in and be so relieved.  I'm sure it will be an awesome experience! Let us know!

J.T. - I totally understand the "not measuring up" thing.  I've been nervously debating whether or not to go to this LGBT event in my area.  There's a trans guy with whom I've emailed a few times who will be doing a seminar about dating trans people (and how to successfully date if you are trans.)  It sounds interesting, but being pre-everything I know most people will just take me as butch lesbian.  Either that, or they will know I'm trans and not passing.  *sigh*  Still don't know if I have the courage to go.

But hey, I remember your old picture, and you are definitely looking more manly, dude.  Grown-up manly, I mean.  In no time at all everyone will be looking at you and thinking, "I can hardly wait until I'm where he is."  :) And meanwhile, those who are further into transition have all been where you are, so I doubt if they will have much room in them for judgment.

J.T.

Ah thanks Jamie.  Glad to know i'm not the only one feeling like that.

You're right, everyone has been where i have.

Alright guys, I'm going.  Gonna suck it up and go.

Go, J.T.  I went to a group meeting a few weeks ago and there were 3 mtfs and 4 ftms, all in various stages of transition.  Very nice bunch of people and all very supportive.  You'll have fun!

i went.  turns out it wasn't group but a social thing... which was a bit awkward 'cause people didn't really know what to say.  but i went, that's the important thing.  need to find an ftm group somehow...
