Interpol - Our Love To Admire - Rest My Chemistry

I haven't slept for two days
I've bathed in nothing but sweat
And I've made hallways scenes for things to regret.
My friends they come.
And the lines they go by

Tonight I'm gonna rest my chemistry
Tonight I'm gonna rest my chemistry

I live my life in cocaine
Just a rage and three kinds of yes
And I've made stairways
Such scenes for things that I regret
Oh, those days in the sun
They bring a tear to my eye

Tonight I'm gonna rest my chemistry
Tonight I'm gonna rest my chemistry

But you're so young
You're so young
You look in my eyes
You're so young. So sweet. So surprised

I saw a sign says "OK"
Gotta take a ride just recline in the faraway
Got to take some time to realize
That my friends they come
And the lines they go by

Tonight I'm gonna rest my chemistry
Tonight I'm gonna rest my chemistry

But you're so young
You're so young
You look in my eyes
So young. So sweet. So surprised
You look so young like a daisy in my lazy eyes

Tonight I'm gonna rest my chemistry
Tonight I'm gonna rest my chemistry
Tonight I'm gonna rest my chemistry
Tonight I'm gonna rest my chemistry

From the Blackfoot Strikes album, "Train, Train" but I'm listening to the version with the harmonica track laid down by Shorty Medlocke who wrote the song and is probably the oldest person ever to perform on a rock album.

K.D. Lang's Drag album. Because I've been playing the heck out of her Ingénue album lately and decided a little variety is good. :D

I still think that Absolute Torch And Twang is not only one of the best County and Western records ever, but in the top 100 records of all time, but Shadowland and Hymns Of The 49th Parallel are both awesome.

One of the all time great songs.

Sorry you're feeling sad!

The list of really crappy Beatles songs is pretty short, but Yesterday is sort of uh, give me Helter Skelter, or Everybody's Got Something to Hide 'Cept for Me and My Monkey - but I'm a rock and roll girl.

Though I'm sure Paul will be singing Yesterday when he signs that check to Heather.

It's sad that it's pretty much what Nash was thinking when he wrote those words.  Even sadder it was one war ago and we still have not learned that the cost of freedom is won by us, not by others.

My tastes are very eclectic, but at the moment, I listen a lot to Saffire And The Uppity Blues Women, and especially "Nobody Ever Touched Me There", "Unlove You", and "Footprints On The Ceiling"......

bluesey, boogie-woogie,  honkey-tonky, jazzy, .....*smile*......nice!  Great dance music for Marcy and I, good singing music for me.

Drive -- Berry/Buck/Mills/Stipe

Smack, crack, bushwhacked
Tie another one to the racks, baby

Hey kids, rock and roll
Nobody tells you where to go, baby

What if I ride? What if you walk?
What if you rock around the clock?
Tick-tock, tick-tock
What if you did? What if you walk?
What if you tried to get off, baby?

Hey kids, where are you?
Nobody tells you what to do, baby

Hey kids, shake a leg
Maybe you're crazy in the head, baby

Maybe you did, maybe you walked
Maybe you rocked around the clock
Tick-tock, tick-tock
Maybe I ride, maybe you walk
Maybe I drive to get off, baby

Hey kids, shake a leg
Maybe you're crazy in the head, baby

Ollie, ollie
Ollie, ollie, ollie
Ollie, ollie in come free, baby

Hey kids, where are you?
Nobody tells you what to do, baby

Smack, crack, shack-a-lack
Tie another one to your back, baby

Hey kids, rock and roll
Nobody tells you where to go, baby

Maybe you did, maybe you walked
Maybe you rocked around the clock
Tick-tock, tick-tock
Maybe I ride, maybe you walk
Maybe I drive to get off, baby

Hey kids, where are you?
Nobody tells you what to do, baby

Hey kids, rock and roll
Nobody tells you where to go, baby, baby, baby
