Obama And One-Man, One-Woman Marriage

Link

"Sen. Obama reminded us this week that he believes marriage is between a man and a woman, something LGBT people might have easily forgotten over the course of the primary."

Another quote from the piece:

QuoteBut on the bright side, he added that Sen. Obama followed his man-woman statement with: "I also think that same-sex partners should be able to visit each other in hospitals, they should be able to transfer property, they should be able to get the same federal rights and benefits that are conferred onto married couples."

Well, it's not a huge surprise is it? I cannot recall a politician who ran for office that didn't seem to want to be elected and to use the strategies that seemed best for them to that end. I don't, and never have, seen him as any different in that respect.

It is what it is.

A deal-breaker for me?

Hardly. I'm gonna vote for McCain? Maybe in 2250.

I sure am glad he's so different from all the others.  Wait, isn't that the same thing Bush says?

The great thing about the 2 party system is you're screwed no matter whom you vote for.  The only deference is the Democrats use lube.

Its not that he is different, he is a Chicago politician in all the best and worst ways, of course the best way, is .... he does know how to win.  A real difference for the Dems.  I don't care what he says.  I only care that he gets elected.  After all, what's the other option?
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Reminds me of "In communism, man screws man... in democracy. it's the other way around"

Yet another reason this whole election is making me more jaded that ever before.  I think KY should come out with a new ad that has McCain and Obama in bed together both arguing for their own new personal favorite lube.  Obama's would be warming, but only locally, not globally.  McCain's would be best suited for battlefield conditions.  Obama's would make you scream, "O God, O God..." before he disassociates himself from it.  McCain's would come in three different octanes and put money in the hands of the oil companies.
