"LGBT people who are dealing with mental illness have a least two burdens of prejudice and discrimination that they are dealing with," said Dr. Christian Huygen. "So depending on where they are, they feel like they don't fit in mainstream mental health settings. It's just a really painful way to live to go through the world feeling like you have to try to hide all or part of who you are"
