"There's an excellent article by Patrick Range McDonald on LA Weekly's LA Daily Blog, "Queer Town: McCain Plays Small Ball in California." It hits on a lot of what we've been discussing on the Blend regarding the open contempt McCain has for LGBTs by declaring support for the California marriage amendment, versus Barack Obama's opposition to it. The latter has been the center of criticism by quite a few Blenders for a) saying nothing at all about the amendment (not true); or 2) not opposing it forcefully enough -- as in front of a large media outlet. "

McCain is thinking small pretty much across the board.
