Hi Jaimey and Laurry
I love this thread because of the humor. Heck people on the other threads don't seem to understand my jokes, you see, the ones I tell are home spun, from the cuff. Oh heck I don't have any sleeves let alone cuffs on this dress. Lovely hot weather and I am enjoying it. But then I might be off topic is several times in one post. Well the Androgynes folks are ripe nice people anyway.

OK Cindy, put it down and step away from the pipe.

Oh no, I guess I just picked it up because I had this horrible thought just pop in my head...If you are discussing Cuffs (on or off your dress) and you wish to point others to websites that discuss them, would those be cuff links?

<psssssssssssst, takes another hit>

Ripe nice?  Does that mean we smell bad in a pleasant way?  Or maybe that we are nice people in spite of that "ripe" smell?  I mean, honestly, I'm on vacation...I was planning on taking a shower before I go out..realy I was
Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

P.S.  Did have a question, tho.  If Androgynes have such a mild temperament, why did we have to LOCK the thread about respecting other people's opinions?  Maybe we ain't so mild after all????

LOL

Laurry, thanks for saying that sister!

Hi "the gas pipe?  Na, now getting abducted by aliens and living forever sounds much preferable then croaking. Cuff links, I like that.  Ripe? nah just some of. Na, not that kind of ripe. As fare as I know it means the same as great. It's an old axiom not sure where it originated from.

I just took it to mean "right nice"...a fine southern saying we have here in Texas, as in "That's right nice of ya, buddy".  Another example from that famous comedy troupe, Firesign Theatre...

"Near the eye of the Holy Serpent Mound"
"That's a beaut"
"No, it's a mound"
"And right pretty too"

OK...I admit I inhaled in college...what can I say?  It was the 70's...

With all the anime talk that goes on here (and I'm not complaining) I thought dope humor of the 70s might also be appreciated.  Anyone ever heard of Firesign Theatre???

Ooops I guess I goofed on the ripe thing it's right nice. I only been in Texas once back in the 80's but I only just drove through it. But I lived in Morristown Tennessee for a time. I remember some of the southern drawl there and in Asheville NC. Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida. Well I got around a lot during those ten years on the road on the East coast of both Canada and US.  ;D

A buddy introduced me to it. I keep meaning to look into it more.

My soul mate has heard of the Firesign Theatre. Anyway she can better tell about it herself.

I Think We're All Bozos on This Bus but we have a problem:  How Can You Be Two Places At Once When You're Really Nowhere at All?  Call Nick Danger, Third Eye before you get on the Antelope Freeway as you drive to Ralph Spoilsport Motors.

Did we pass a gas station?  No, but the fox did.  Squeeze him right around here and maybe he'll pass another.

Yup, I love the Firesign Theater.  Having said that I believe that it's time for a big bowl of Loosner's Castor Oil Flakes.

They're not really. I've learned a lot since posting this. Sometimes they're far less mild than they let on. And they tend feel strongly about the strangest things and seemingly out of nowhere.

I think so too.
