I had my pre-op exam yesterday, surgery is set for June 25.  I am having soft tissue only, so I have found an excellent surgeon here, highly recommended by TG patients as well as other doctors who I know.

I have been excited, and scared for weeks, but now I am more excited than scared.  I had to pay the entire amount of the fee yesterday, nearly $14,000.  I had to refinance my house to do it!

I am having a chin implant, to bring my chin out and give it a feminine shape, a lip lift, to shorten my upper lift and give more body to the upper lip, a rhinoplasty for feminine shape, face lift with lipo on the neck, and fat injections to the cheeks and lips.  Wow, that is alot.

I have good before pics that I will post on the web with my After pics in several months so you can all see the results.

My daughter and son are going to care for me in my recovery, I am lucky to have them as friends too.

That's great Virginia.  :)  I hope all goes well, I would be very interested in your experience and how happy you are with the results.  You look great now so what you'll have done will be a bonus.
I have my surgery booked for 15th July with Dr Chettawut in Thailand.  I'm really, really scared and a little excited.  I'm leaving Oz on the 12th and staying for just over 2 weeks.  :)

Good luck Virginia! That's a big deal, rest well and catch up on some movies or something during recovery. It's good to have family looking after you, you are so lucky :) Meghan

That great too Buttercup and I bet you are scared. I would be terrified since Thailand is a long way from
home, but you will be fine I'm sure. Are you going alone?

With you and Meghan and Virginia we are going to have three great looking women by the end
of the year. I'm excited to see everyones results and I hope you fill us in on all the gory details.

Buttercup-  Thanks so much for the well wishing, and you know I am  for you too.  I have heard very good things about Thailand, one of my dearest friends went there several years ago for SRS and some FFS and had a wonderful time.  She stayed for several weeks after healing and toured the country.

Well after much waiting my surgery is tomorrow morning.  My fears have dissolved into just one:  The necessity to sleep on my back and being unable to breathe out of my nose.  This usually results in waking up every half hour or so because of lack of Oxygen.

Oh well, I guess that is not so bad.

I'll try to post some in a couple of days.

Wish me well, please. :)

Well, I am 6 days out and feeling more positive than ever.  The swelling is starting to recede, but I am still very very bruised.  But beyond that I can see how I will look in several weeks and I really like it.  I am so excited to see the end result.

Good luck with your recovery Virginia.  You're quite lucky it will only take you a few weeks to recuperate.  It took almost a year for me but it was all worth it. The bruising around the eyes never seem to go away but ultimately they decrease.  Patience, apt follow-up care & a healthy diet should help.

I became a bit of an FFS junkie and have had 4 rounds of facial surgery, the last being at the end of July. It will take up to a year before you get your final result. After the fist drastic initial change your tissue will  change very slowly week by week (particularly your nose). You wont really notice it but others who don't see you that often will spot the changes straigh away. Good luck with your recovery. I hope that everything turns out the way that you wanted it.
