QuoteAdditionally, they make use of a filter to replace every instance of the word "gay" with "homosexual." So when olympic athlete Tyson Gay ran the fastest 100m of all time earlier this week, the headline at OneNewsNow.com read "Homosexual eases into 100 final at Olympic trials."

And here I thought that being Gay Homosexual was secondary to ones physical accomplishments...

BTW: The George Orwell novel 1984, dealt with issues of reforming/rewriting history to fit the present to keep the proles in line and to support the regime.  I'm sure that the folks at American Family believe that they are doing Godesses God's work.  But I suspect that the novel 1984 is not on their approved list.

Because I'm sure that if any of them read that book they would instantly know that they are not providing a service that God would approve of!

Highlights:
Quote"Tyson Homosexual was a blur in blue, sprinting 100 meters faster than anyone ever has."

"Wearing a royal blue uniform with red and white diagonal stripes across the front, along with matching shoes, all in a tribute to 1936 Olympic star Jesse Owens, Homosexual dominated the competition."

"Everyone expected Homosexual to make the U.S. team."
"Anyone who attempts to play the 'real transsexual' card should be summarily dismissed, as they are merely engaging in name calling rather than serious debate."

A thought occured to me about this.

When you accept a feed from AP, don't you have to sign/accept a provision that the content will not be changed when redistributed on their sight?  Isn't that a violation of their EULA?

Also, regardless of Tyson Gay's orientation, isn't he being slandered by this?  Shouldn't he sue their website out of existence?

Too bad, no one has let either the AP or Mr Gay in on the gag...

I think you're allowed to make some changes when you include a note that says, "Additional reporting by {someone's name}."

Hmmm...
This is from the Privacy and Policies web page regarding the use of AP copyrighted material
Quote
Associated Press Material

AFN's policies for use of our originally-produced, copyrighted material do not apply to Associated Press material which is subject to the following restrictions:

Associated Press (AP) text, photo, graphic, audio and/or video material shall not be published, broadcast, rewritten for broadcast or publication or redistributed directly or indirectly in any medium. Neither these AP materials nor any portion thereof may be stored in a computer except for personal and non-commercial use. AP will not be held liable for any delays, inaccuracies, errors or omissions therefrom or in the transmission or delivery of all or any part therof or for any damages arising from any of the foregoing.
All material which is identified as having been written by or contributed to by the Associated Press is subject to these restrictions.

I think the AP would be very unhappy if they knew one of their feeds was regularly being modified without attribution or explanation...

BTW:  I went scanning through the AFN website looking for the news article and I could not find it.  Either it dropped off the current news list or was pulled.

Thanks for a good laugh!

I have no idea if that story is true, but you have to admit, that's a funny report.
