It does sound like that, very much. And Zoe's blog on it has been posted at Susan's here today. Go read her thoughts. 

It is a sad thing when something so many of us dream about is visited on someone for whom it's their worst nightmare. I truly hope that someone, somewhere, somehow will enable him to reverse this terribly sad situation.
