If you could talk to anyone in the past, who would it be? Why?

If you could go back into the past and talk to someone, who would it be? What would you ask them? Why?

I want to speak to god, if god exists. I want to know why it created me. I want to know why it chose my body to be male. I want to know why it made me so ugly. I want to know why it made my cousin so perfect looking. I want to know that and a million more questions.

I would ask god these things because it really bothers me. That dastard thing created me, threw me in a male body, and it is probably laughing as I type this.

Don't be scared to fly alone, find a path that is your own
Love will open every door it's in your hands, the world is yours
Don't hold back and always know, all the answers will unfold
What are you waiting for, spread your wings and soar

My Mom and Dad.  Just to let them know that I am finally happy with myself and I am OK.

My past selves, mostly just so I can get my facts and more importantly my understanding correct.

*hug* Hang in there kids, Heaven is a wonderful place, do not fret.

No one. Once someone gets out of here I think it would be terribly cruel to make them come back. I know, that for myself, once I am allowed to leave, I do not want to come back. And I don't believe that any of the people I have known and loved would want to come back into the body and life that they left. I think that love will keep us all connected despite death and I believe that I will see them all again and be with them.

Buffy

Probably Eve,

I would tell her what men where really like, tell her to get Adam under her thumb and ensure women (at that early age in history) had the upper hand.

I'd go back and talk to the anarchists fighting in the spanish civil war. :P

Since my dad was born 88 yrs ago, i would like to talk to him when he was a  boy, just to get a true understanding of what his life was like back then.

I've always wanted to go back and introduce the concept of telescopes made with mirrors to Galileo.  He would have pushed astronomy and its concepts ahead by a 100 years.  That would flow over into medicine and other scientific pursuits.  And.... then GW probably wouldn't be in office.

I'm a cause and effect sort of thinker.  I love a good paradox.

Me.

I'd reach back to my younger self, probably as some sort of Muse or something (lol), and guide myself home... to become the person who's reaching back through the past to guide myself home, lol... to be...

Linear time is SO boring.

Not a good idea, Kate.

Time loop could shift everything and cause all sorts problems.  Like GW becoming King, or worse Billy being elected for four terms.

Maybe as a long lost aunt who would be passing thru with advise, and be gone.

LOL,

I would like to speak with my parents. They knew that I was always effeminate. They knew that as a child, I wore the clothes of the other little girls who were my friends. They knew that everyone knew me as April since I was 6 years old. They knew that as a  teen, I wore my mothers clothes and used her makeup. They knew that I was always getting beaten up and that I had substance abuse problems. I'd like to ask them why they turned their backs on me and never tried to support me or to try to get help. I'd like to ask them why I had to deal with everything alone.

I'd go back and talk to George Bush Sr and Mrs Bush right at the time they got 'in the mood' to have a child. I'd give them a right good talking to. Then I'd sit in a dark corner and throw stinking, mouldy catfish at them until the mood passed.

After that, I'd go and do the same thing to Mr and Mrs Blair.

Above all... remember: you are beautiful, you are valuable, and you have a shining spark of magnificence within you. Don't let anyone take that from you. Embrace who you are. <3

This is a toughie.  If I could talk with anyone in the past, I'd go back and talk with St. Brendan the Explorer.  Sailing the North Atlantic from Ireland to Newfoundland via Bermuda in a simple boat...  (About 500 AD)  There have GOT to be a few stories woth hearing!

I'd go back and hang out with Ghandi. Ask him how he was so calm even though he was so thin. I am ever so anxious, and it would have been nice to understand how that guy managed...

Other than that, John Lennon. Same kind of questions. Choosing between Ghandi and John Lennon would actually be a tough choice. At least John speaks fluent English.

Those guys or Jesus Christ. I want to know if he was really a holy man or just a historical figure or both.

Yeah, I would do the same thing. I would grab ahold of my 11 year old self and say (when my mom asks me the $64,000 question 'do you want to be a girl?) 'okay, this is your chance...so TAKE IT!!'

I would wanna speak to someone from a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

He chops people in half and is a bit obsessive about his love life.

I'd wanna do more than just talk though...
