Nero, I want you to know that last night something happened to me that other widowed people have experienced, too. For the first time in some years, Meredith came to me in my dreams. For perhaps the first time, she did not look dead. She looked older, like she had been gone for many years, but she appeared healthy and as attractive as I remember her. Most importantly, she was happy, very happy. We stood there looking at each other, and then I sensed that she knew. She knew about Ellie and was very pleased.
Many widowed people have talked about similar dreams where their dead loved one has come to them and given them their blessing for their new relationship. And now my Dearheart has done that for me, and I cannot stop myself from crying when I think about it. Someday maybe you can have this happiness, too.
