i would like to ask you a few things about recovery.How long after the operation did you start having senses?when were you able to watch tv or write in the laptop.When did the great pain begin.and when did it start becoming better?thank you in advance
actually plz share how was recovery time( is it as boring as i can imagine??)

I had my surgery around 11:30 a.m. and managed to sent out three short text messages around 5:00 p.m.
The very next morning I was able to get on my lap top a few times for short periods. But as whole, the day following I just wanted to sleep as much as possible. Day two, I was reading, watching tv, on my lap top etc.

I was on the table for a long length of time and did not jump back on the 'puter until the afternoon of the following day. Then made a detour around their firewall rules and called home.

I started feeling really good about 10 days after surgery. I was up, doing katas, and walking short distances. Usually paid for it later on and learned to keep my butt in bed and just let the body mend except for walks for food and a couple of errands that had to be run.

An hour after surgery I was using my laptop to phone friends back home. The only problem was I was so stoned on morphine that I coudn't remember who I'd spoken too or what I'd said by the next day.

Like others have said,  the first day your sleeping and pretty drugged up, but able to watch tv or talk / phone out etc.  I had grs and BA done and the grs was not as bad as the BA, but neather was that bad.  The surgery took a lot out of me and I could barely stand by the bad after 2-1/2 days, but by the 4th day I could walk down the hall and 6-7 days after surgery I was walking a few blocks.  But it's best to do just a little for the first two weeks and heal. Every day there was improvement, and my friends were amaized at how well I was doing.  It's been 8 weeks or so and I kayaked this evening and walk 2+ miles sometimes twice a day.  I was off work for 6 weeks.

I came out of surgery around 10:30 pm, and then slept pretty much through the night (except when the nurses checked on me every hour or so). The next morning I was emailing and calling friends. The five days I spent in the hospital (two surgeries) were really a blur since I was drugged the whole time, so it went by amazingly fast. I also had some movies on my laptop to pass time away as well. The next three weeks at the hotel were actually kinda fun. I met lots of great people and wasn't alone all that much. I was walking around the hotel grounds within a few days, and first walked about a mile (each way) to a nearby market 7 or 8 days after returning to the hotel. I had movie nights in my room with people I was friendly with, and sometimes we even did group dilating!

I had sensation almost immediately after the packing/catheter/drains were removed (6 days after surgery)--mostly a mild pain to the touch for the first ten days or so, then it shifted from pain to. . . yummy! Things definitely felt sensitive and sore for about 4 weeks, but the flight home wasn't bad, and it felt comfortable to ride a bicycle again after about 3 months.

I had my surgery in the early morning on a Monday. I first woke up mid-afternoon, checked that it had been done, and slept the most beautiful sleep until the next day! The day after surgery was uncomfortable but by Wednesday I was up and around. There was nobody to text because PCs, cell phone, and the Internet hadn't been invented yet 

By Friday I was out of hospital and shopping (on foot) around town and was home by Saturday.

I managed 2 weeks of recovery at home before I started going nuts and got a job. The rest, as they say, is history
