Sir Jesse McNulty and Jennifer Purvis said understanding for relationships between trans men and queer women has improved, but intolerance remains for trans partners among many gay men and lesbians.

Yeah. I met a bi girl who said she'd date a transman. Can't tell if she was hitting on me or not, but we immediately exchanged numbers, lol.

But will a gay man or lesbian ever want me? I'm just not so sure. I don't have a penis and I don't identify as a girl. If the lesbian really only has that "emotional need," well, I am very sensitive...

You may be surprised. My usual track record has been lesbian women and straight men although the people I am currently seeing are all bi (did not plan it that way, just sorta worked out).

Oh the stories I could tell you, when you turn 21.  Trust me, do not despair. If I can find a few people out there who could overcome my little defect, I am sure that you will be able too. Especially if you can play a mean harmonica. Seriously, old school instruments rock.

Well, people who play harmonicas have mean tongue control.  You have to, or it sounds terrible.

I hear ya man. I used to play (or my approximation of it) when I was very young. Even received a decent one from the parental units one XMas holiday. Should have stuck with it.

The heck did i just read lol. me and my gf are seeing how things go now. Been transitioning for a while and she loves me to pieces and she loves the d. I can just see the struggle in her sometimes when she cant help but to see me as a girl. Oooooh the journeys

I had a terrible time trying to get a date as a single guy. I had a single date about two months before I accepted my trans status. Ultimately she was too busy for me I think. We kept in contact after our date for a week, but she was to busy to have another date with me. Then I stopped hearing from her for over a week until a natural disaster convinced her to check up on me. I'm like hell no I won't waste my time with someone that can't even take 5 minutes to send a text until a natural disaster hits. That's the only dating activity I've had since December 2001 when my ex-fiance dumped me for a guy twice her age.

As Ashley I haven't had hardly anything happen. I've had a girl send me a couple of messages on OK Cupid, but it went no where. It doesn't help that I'm allergic to cats. I can't tell you how many times I've found a girl that is everything I'm looking for, but she has cats. There were a couple where it was drugs instead of cats. As for the girls that aren't everything I want, there doesn't appear to be a lot of interest. I don't know if its because they don't see me as a lesbian or what.
