What length skirts do you prefer, as a late transitioner?

As a late (older) transitioner, what length skirts do you wear?  Mine tend to be longer.  I prefer mine well below the knee, to ankle-length.  I have nice legs, nothing to hide, but....I like the skirts longer than most.  At work, it's usually mid-calf length to about 2" below the knee.
Any other thoughts?

Mid-thigh. But that isn't always appropriate for the setting.

But you asked for preference. I like my legs and appreciate the way they look. What can I say, Bev, that I didn't?

I didn't say I was an exhibitionist. Kate's seen them, ask her. :)

Now, go on with your dares!!

I guess it is just my personality, but I always wore skirts that came to or below my knees.  It had nothing to do with how old I was, just how I was raised.

I don't wear skirts much, but when I do they are just below the knee.

Nothing wrong with my knees, I just have long legs and think I look
like I'm perched on a couple of tooth-picks when I try shorter skirts... ::)

..Anyway whats this about Nichole being an exhibitionist?..

......Awaits answer from Kate.... :icon_ihearu:

Ankle length for me by preference. I've often thought my fashion sense was from a different century ;)

Mid-thigh

Quite the hottie.  I'm all for just above the knee myself.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I wear mostly skirts or skorts that are usually 6 inches above the knee.  But I have very long legs.
Also, earlier in the year I had the varicose veins removed from my legs so I think they look pretty good for a 56 year old.

Depends on the skirt.  I like above the knee in most cases, I have nice legs.  But I also like to the ankles as in a peasant skirt or a formal.

My legs are still hirsute (hairy,) so until I get de-haired, I'll favour longer skirts.

As an exhibitionist, mine should be as short as possible. I like ULTRA mini-skirt, but a problem is that my kids don't like it.

Barbie~~

Just do it.

Heck, I have killer long legs, so I go for the mini skirt without a second thought! Same for my dresses too, most are mini length or at least half way up the thigh...and yes, I wear mini skirts during the winter too...that's what tights are for!

I wear all different lengths at various times. When I first began, a few years ago, I wore exclusively ankle-length. Love my broomsticks. But nowadays I'm more likely to wear knee-length as I've assimilated to looking like a fairly ordinary and conventional woman. I wear minis, albeit rarely. I like long, I like short, I like halfway in between. But something about the mid-calf length just annoys me, it seems like the frumpy length. It covers up a lot but lacks the flowing elegance of long skirts. It can be attractive to expose a lot of leg, or it can also be attractive to wear a long and flowing look, but plain mid-calf skirts have neither advantage. However, mid-calf length looks OK to me if it has an asymmetric hem, like a handkerchief hem, to make it non-frumpy. When I wear short skirts I always get praised by other women for having great legs, they say they're jealous of my legs for being trim and not fat. Of course, nature gave me an unfair advantage over them, paradoxically enough. If I had to choose, I'd go for elegantly flowing long skirts which suit my personality and style sense best.
Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride

Most of my skirts and dresses hit at the knee.  I have a few long skirts but since my legs are a focal point I love to show them off. Just a little above the knee still looks good.  I am just a bit older than you but I dont believe age matters.

I usually wear them down to the knee or mid shin but once in a while I'll wear something shorter if I'm feeling confident.I'm normally too self-conscious about showing skin and feel vulnerable and shy.

Above the knee or mid thigh for me, kinda new at this and just trying to be stylish/age appropriate

It has more to do with body type, than age.

If you're tall, most mtf are by female stadards,
unless you're skinny, long skirts make you look much much bulkier than
you really are. Women, that pull this off are usually quite slim.

But, if you're not trim, a short skirt will make you look like a Pogo skick, not good either.

So, the best thing is probably a skirt that is around the knee, just showing the knee
is usually best if you've long legs.
