But my birthday is not till the 11th. Yap. I'm going to take tons of pics but there will be one problem though. I'll be in Mike mode during that hole trip. My dad is going also and I haven't came out to him yet. Maybe I should on this trip.

On the up side, I'm going to meet Robert Picardo of Star Trek Voyager and Stargate Atlantis. My dad got a package deal for the Star Trek Convention this year.

Who else has been to Vegas and gone to the Star Trek Experience??

Vegas yes, but I like the old vegas, the ratpack Vegas, other than that, I like Hoover Dam a lot.  Never did a convention that I wasn't working at.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Oh that'll be fun! I did the same thing, Vegas on my 21st (not a Star Trek convention or anything) and it was amazing. I'm sure you'll have a great time. My favorite Star Trek series was Star Trek Voyager. I don't really like any others.

As far as coming out to your dad on this trip, I don't know if coming out to him during a trip like this is the best thing. Since you both will be virtually stuck with each other until you get back home and it may cause unneeded issues in the event that it doesn't go so well. I hope that it does go well when you finally do come out to him, but I would think that at home or somewhere a little more comforting might be better for the both of you.

Have a fun and safe trip :)

AAwww mann!!!  I Jealous!   I always wanted to go to Star Trek Experience in Vegas :(  But will never get to...   Their closing it down in few months if remember correctly.
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down?  Does it become part you?  Maybe alone, they are truly themselves?  Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?
