I am currently on pills and thinking about switching to injection after hearing its
benefits over pills. However, as far as I know, we need to inject at least once for
every 2 weeks and I know that there will be holes left behind, though not
very visible, but may be another story for long term injection journey.

Can someone tell me how visible they will be if used in long term , say, 5 or 10
years?

Well I've been injecting almost 5 years and no "holes" yet!  Although I inject every 2 weeks I alternate butt cheeks so that gives each cheek 4 weeks to heal up.  If you're still concerned you can also use the upper legs/thighs, giving your 4 injection areas.

How visible are they?  Not at all, meaning you can't see them.

Very true, generally within minutes. Seldom do they even bleed. Re-swab the injection site post injection and cover with a bandaid. You'll prolly forget that it's even there.

I've yet to have a visible scar from injecting. The worst I've had was a small lump on butt where the injection was and it went away after a few days. There normally isn't a lot of bleeding and it's great to 'fire and forget'

I've been injecting for around 6 or 7 months now and I haven't noticed any lingering holes (that sounds disturbing, lol). It usually bleeds a little so I put a band-aid on it. I pretty much forget about right after I'm done.

Beyond - I have actually been wondering if it's ok to do it in the thigh area because I've seen it done like that on a show once about a TS, but my endo and other TS's I know always do it in the butt so I was unsure on if I could actually do it there.

I always did it in the thigh, grabed the top of the thigh in one hand and inject with the other,  Never had a problem.  but then again my thigh's were pretty large

My doc injected in my buttocks for about six months, and then I injected for about a year and a half, then I had a doc do it for another six months in the buttock, then I went to pills.  I always injected in my thighs because my doc requested I do it there.  He told me he worried about his patients trying to inject in the buttock not being able to see and possibly hitting the Cyatic nerve.  Obviously not a concern for some people though.

I experienced no holes.  However, I did experience an enormous amount of scar tissue.  I know this is gross, but after approximately one year I had difficulty getting the needle through the flesh.  After the first eighth inch it would hit rock hard tissue.  To get it past that point I had to FORCE it through the scar tissue and it would make an audible "POP"!  It became so frightening for me to do it that I finally started paying an urgent care clinic $10 to do it for me every two weeks.

Just my experience...
