My binder came in a couple of days ago and I've been wearing it everyday after showering :D

Today I got my first "Excuse me, son" and I couldn't help but grin foolishly. Just the other day I got a "Are you being helped, ladies" so the huge leap from "ladies" to "son" was extremely gratifying.

Can't help it but I'm still ecstatic :)

That's great news Nate. I remember how good that felt in the early days and to be honest I still get a buzz from it even now and I've not had anyone refer to me as anything other than male pronouns in over a year.

Also, I have found that the more people do this the more confident you will get and then the more it will happen. The confidence has a knock on effect. Really pleased for you mate  ;D

Thanks Snowdoggy, Jay.

I'll probably still be really excited in the future like you said! I've just come out to my GLBT club at school so this school year, I expect a few mess ups but a whole lot more male pronouns so I'll be very pleased.

Congrats.  And I'm jealous.  I've been sired once in binder, then as soon as I turned around he said 'Oh I mean maam'  Gaaahh!
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down?  Does it become part you?  Maybe alone, they are truly themselves?  Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?

I wish I could pass along all the sir's I've gotten to you guys... I've had more than enough of them to last this lifetime.

Congrats, Nate!

I've been "sir-ed" but never son lol.  My favorite is just when they stare at me and my boyfriend and get "disgusted" because we're gay...but that means they are acknowledging that I'm a man.

Thanks everyone, and yes it is an awesome feeling :D I thought I was just being a dork for posting this, I was so shocked when people actually replied haha.

To the guys that haven't been sir'ed yet: It's coming :) I wouldn't say I "pass" 100% yet, so I'm sure I'll get the occasional "ma'am"...oh wait I still do. Haha.

Nah, that's what these boards are for, to post those little moments of triumph where others understand how great it is. It gives others hope too. Congrats and wishing you many more "sirs".
