My binder came in a couple of days ago and I've been wearing it everyday after showering

Today I got my first "Excuse me, son" and I couldn't help but grin foolishly. Just the other day I got a "Are you being helped, ladies" so the huge leap from "ladies" to "son" was extremely gratifying.

Can't help it but I'm still ecstatic

That's great news Nate. I remember how good that felt in the early days and to be honest I still get a buzz from it even now and I've not had anyone refer to me as anything other than male pronouns in over a year.

Also, I have found that the more people do this the more confident you will get and then the more it will happen. The confidence has a knock on effect. Really pleased for you mate

I'll probably still be really excited in the future like you said! I've just come out to my GLBT club at school so this school year, I expect a few mess ups but a whole lot more male pronouns so I'll be very pleased.

I've been "sir-ed" but never son lol.  My favorite is just when they stare at me and my boyfriend and get "disgusted" because we're gay...but that means they are acknowledging that I'm a man.

nah, totally understand that feeling.  really makes your day, especially that first one.  confidence boost from the binder then you get son... another boost.  congrats.

the son part cracks me up.  i haven't gotten it since i've been on T, now i get sir.

Nah, that's what these boards are for, to post those little moments of triumph where others understand how great it is. It gives others hope too. Congrats and wishing you many more "sirs".
