QuoteAnd how much scarring/loss of sensation is there after a mastectomy? I'm DD - so no hope, stick to shoddy binding?  'Cause as a few people have said, I'm (no pun intended) rather attached to them, they're part of me, but oh! that dream of being male-flat...

Scarring really depends on the person. I don't have much, just two lines under my pecs that you can't see too well when I'm tanned. The scars under my arms stretched a little, but it doesn't bother me. As for loss of sensation, I never had any feeling in my nipples and I don't now. I had numb patches in my chest after surgery that slowly came back over a year or two.

This is the latest picture I have of me shirtless - about 3 years after surgery (pardon the muffin top, still need to drop a few pounds)

Wow Den, you look incredible.  Congrats  :eusa_clap:

May I add how masculine you are?  If I were holding that fish I'd be screaming like a little girl, lol I can handle dead fish, not live.

I'm actually looking forward to some decreased sensation in my nipples.  Cripes, the littlest thing sometimes hurts them.  :o   I'd prefer some sensation, but I'll take what I get if I can get a chest like Den's!!!!

You look fab, dude!!

Dennis, you look great. =]

Jay, I know what you mean about looking forward to decreased sensation. I've tried the nipple thing, but it just don't do it for me. I get this weird crawly sensation whenever I mess with 'em, and I don't like it. :s

Wow you do look great Den! I guess the tan does hide any scarring.
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

Jeeeebus o.o
You've given me hope lol,
I've only been told about the crappy surgery where it makes you look like you have a zip across your chest. But that looks great o.o

I'm the same way too Dennis, I've never had much feeling in the two guys XD Plus, I never felt much like they were part of my body so I never really liked to play with them.

Dude, what ever doubts I had about you being a real.........................

Fisherman....................

Were erased, I can see the beer in the pic.

What ever doubts I had about you being a real.......................

lawyer....................

Erased too, I can see the cell phone too.

I go skiing with a friend of mine who is a lawyer (yes, I'm very open minded) who stops to take a call in the middle of a run.  And I'm all like "Hey, this ain't your office Beeeeatch!"  And she tell me to shut up, I'm not paying her bills.

Nup, ain't a cell phone. There's no cell service out there anyway, which is the way I like it. That's a radio so we can communicate wtih base camp and the other boats. I totally resent it when someone calls me about something work related on my cell. I even resisted getting one for years because I didn't want people to call me.

You may resume your doubting now.

Oh, resume?  You optimist you.  I never stop.

And my phone has walkie-talkie built in (and who the hell thought up that name?  Had we let that moron name the "gun" he would have called a 'rooty-tootie point and shootie') and I'm all in favor of keeping up with the people in my ski club (OK, its not a ski club, its a drinking club that has a skiing problem).

But you're off the list bud!  If I can't get my lawyer in the middle of the night in the middle of the lake, them I'm stuck in the cell all night with Bruno, which will make him happy I'm sure, but.... I'm not going to be thrilled.

I'll probably end up heavily scarred like after the reduction sugery had several years ago.  Why thinking maybe some well designed and placed tattooing might make it less obvious lol

Of course I could be lucky too.  LOL  Might of been the infection had that caused the scarring last time, plus the weight on it, and my tendecny to pick on anything scabby or peeling like surgical glue lol
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down?  Does it become part you?  Maybe alone, they are truly themselves?  Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?

tekla

That's kind of iccky, or TMI at least.

Lookin good Dennis.  lookin good bro.  Yep Brownstein knows his stuff  ;).  I seen my buddy's top surgery.  He just got it done 3 months ago and it aint nothin like mine, to many scars & the nipples are to big.  dunno. but he's happy w/it.  I'm only 1 yr post op.  went to Brownstein to & I'm very happy w/my results. u still can see the scar lines b/c they're a different color then the rest of my skin but when I grow hair on my chest, someday  :D  :eusa_pray: everythin's gonna look better  Hope its soon
  •

Lutin

Wow! That's amazing! I saw one photo of someone post-op and it looked a) incredibly painful, b) like they had said zip straight down the (ex-)cleavage line, and c) like it would never look remotely like the real deal.

Thanks for posting that!!! ;D
